Levo 4 sizing S4 vs S5 at 194cm with short arms?
Looking for some real-world sizing feedback from Levo 4 owners, particularly anyone who’s ridden S4 and S5.
My measurements:
- Height: 194cm barefoot
- Wingspan: 184cm
- Ape index: 0.95 (-10cm)
- Inseam: 90cm
- Torso: ~62–63cm
- Shoulder width: ~53cm
- Shoulder to wrist: ~56cm
I’m obviously tall enough on the chart for an S5, but my proportions are making me question whether S4 could actually be the better fit.
For reference, I’ve done around 50 miles on a Large 2021 Haibike AllMtn 7 (461mm reach / ~650mm stack / 50mm stem) and I really like my arm and torso position. No back, shoulder, neck or hand discomfort. Saddle comfort is the only issue but that may be saddle it’s borrowed of my dad.
I’ve sat on both Levo 4 sizes. S4 initially felt like there wasn’t quite enough bike underneath me, while S5 immediately felt like a much bigger bike. But these were only shop sits, not proper rides, and the more time I spend on the Haibike, the more I realise I actually like a fairly compact cockpit well my arms do.
My riding is mixed long rides, green lanes, woodland, exploring and trails, with comfort over several hours more important than having the biggest/most aggressive setup.
Any Levo 4 owners around 195cm, particularly with a negative ape index, running S4 or S5?
I’d be interested in your height, wingspan/ape index, size, stem/bar setup and how it feels on longer rides.
I’m trying not to choose S5 simply because the height chart says so.
