Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

My Levo Evo comp, S3, agave grey. Ugly, fat, heavy, blah blah blah.
Came with 852Wh(!) battery made in Japan.
Moved all the stuff I had on my gen3: newman beskar wheels (aluminium), dropper post reverb AXS, XTR brakes, GX and OneUp stem/bar.
Weight is 24kg, with pedals and gravity tyres F/R.
Actually 0,5kg lighter than my gen 3 with 180F smashpot zeb/ 165R vivid coil.
Quiet, powerfull, definately more "jumpy" than coiled gen3.
And Yes, I know amflow, I bought one last year (the original silver one).
Sold it after 3 months of use- that was just a cheap trail bike with overly powerfull engine.

Killer bike! Can I ask you a question? Is there any chance you can measure the stand over at the rear shock mount/ top tube meeting point? Just checking, the lbs near me has a s2 evo and the top tube seems really high for a small.

Thank you so much, it’s the same as the s2 I measured. 31.5 inches is a really tall stand over for a small and medium frame. It’s pretty much the same as my Kenevo expert. It’s why I am shopping for a new e bike, getting tired of smashing the boys on the top tube.
We have some news on whether we will have any updates soon ?

Moved fork and shock from my old Gen3, just to see how it will be. That is smashpoted 180mm ZEB ultimate and Vivid coil ultimate (with cascade long link). So this Evo has basically everything moved from my old Gen3.
Actual weight now with all coils, 852Wh battery and gravity radial tyres is 24,76kg.
What suprised me- that is exacltly 360grams more than Gen3 with same parts. I was thinkink it will be around 1kg...

As for the suspension- old fork with smashpot feels better than the new Zeb bike came with.
But maybe its because I have it tuned to my liking, and the new zeb probably needs more time and patience to set it right.
Rear- has simillar sag with the same spring but needs more progression so probably the new cascade long link for gen4 will fix this.

Not to be a bit of a downer but I would not run any coil shock with an alloy shaft on that bike. The long shock yoke puts a lot of load on the shock. The Kenevo was well know for snapping alloy shock shafts.

Wasn't the Vivid coil one of the shocks with a thick enough shaft for this? The previous Super Deluxe Coil was mentioned by Specialized as being ok to use on the gen 3.

the shock is transferred from my Gen3, did over 2000km with it so i believe it is tested enough by myself 😇

Hello. Quick question/ need advice. It’s maybe been covered in here somewhere, but is it fine to remove the battery from the bike every time to charge it ??? I have a very very small house so the new side loading battery / gen 4 design, was a huge selling point for me. I’m very careful when removing. I have an alloy Levo Evo

Hi, the battery doesn't care if it's charged in the bike or the apartment... so yes it's ok 😉
