On a flat road, what speed does it cut off? On a hill, can you add enough leg power to get to cut off speed? How about uphill with headwind? (I wonder how much the 1/2 power is limiting a rider on the road)
So it takes 300-400wats on a road bike to maintain 28mph, and above 20mph on the Levo you are only getting 250watts. So simple math says at least 50-150 watts. But its not a road bike so maybe 10% more on a flat. I can tell you that going 28mph is pretty easy on the flats, on a hill at 5-10% your working, greater than that you better have some legs. you feel the power cut of at 28mph or 20mph if not in class 3.

Gen5 has no rattle what so ever and feels very smooth and refined.
nice.
I rode one in the parking lot, felt the same as spesh, but i was just riding with a guy on a new cx and i could hear his bike the whole time. he certainly was not hearing mine.

I actually like the color more and more and the dowentube, battery door and weight doesn't bother me at all.
The motor is very different from G3 more snappy and you can definitely feel the increased power but it really piss me off it doesn't have the S-Works software.

I just love it and don't regret the upgrade from G3.

I wish I had got a better picture of this bike but it was built up with a Rockshox Vivid shock, lryik fork, gold trp brakes and gold I9 hubs. It made me want to have this color. I will reach out to see if I can get a better picture of it. You can just make out the brakes in the background.

Has anyone done the invisframe wrap on the Gen4? How well does it fit?

Better than the last few bikes. Minimal trimming required. Still a pain in the butt. Took me around 4 hours to install. I did not use every section as I did not completely strip the bike to the frame but still have very good coverage.

900 Miles on the AMflow Pro, it’s been faultless from day one. I understand it’s an older design bike but it just works so well with the DJI unit and Batt.
I was referring to the Gen 4 Levo since you seem to know so much about the ride quality from reading your comments. I figured you had several rides on the new Levo.

Now that you brought up the Amflow, WE want to know how the Pro rides? Does it feel plush and soak up the chunk well, or does it feel more firm than the Gen 3 Levo, ect?

Have had 16 miles on trails I know well on Gen 4 S Works. I found the motor noise more than my Gen 3 one, but while you could feel the weight it was very smooth to ride as you would expect with its large rear shock. The AMflow is very smooth to ride not quite as good as the Levo 4 but still very good. Were the AMflow gains is that it feels so light you can just flick around it feels part of you, and then there is the Motor it’s very quiet and smooth, also very tuneable if you don’t go mad and use the high power a lot it is possible to get close to 60 miles from it on a full charge.

Really isn’t the LBS specialized eventually admitted that There’s a factory fault with the free hub , the guys at the shop have done everything in their power changed the cassette changed the chain , they have been fantastic specialized in the other hand is a issue . This bike was a issue from the day that I received it and they are a specialized specific Dealler , So the bottom line is line shop is great Specialized on the other hand is extremely questionable
Hey, i had problems with the hotshoe from day 1 so you might have the same problem.
try removing the hotshoe and replace with a battery.

nice.

A guy on vala with the new gen 5 cx was behind me coming down chunky trail, thing sounded like a bag of nuts and bolts. Idk if it was all motor/ chain slap but it was loud af. Gen 3 levo is pretty silent so hopin the gen 4 is too.

I spoke to a Spec store about the motor noise on the Gen 4 that I had experienced. Much louder than the Gen 3 I had. The response was.

“. Spec have told us that there can be a variation in motor sound from bike to bike.”

Comp carbon got Bronze which probably have the same stop power as Ultimate but it doesn't have bite point adjustments a feature I like.

ha. thats terrible, major dealbreaker.
My gen 4 is slightly quieter than my gen3 but expect about the same amount of hummm on climbs. Its not annoying but close. They got to get rid of the noise. To me its not acceptable because we know the motors can be almost silent like my gen1.

The bite point can also be adjusted on all sram brakes by injecting oil into the caliper. My silvers were all slop untill i filled the system properly and sealed it with a little pressure.

That’s so wei
I'm not sure I have the exact issue as you do. I get intermittent skips maybe 3 times in a 20 mile ride, shop has tried to adjust twice. Yesterday it skipped almost all the time in 7th gear. Shop adjusted yesterday after that and will test tomorrow. Interestingly my skips are only gear 7 and above. I'll be interested if they find your issue.
Speak to Specialized , they mentioned that the free hub is the issue ,although wasn’t and didn’t solve my issue . I’ve given the shop my bike back so now waiting for the next load of blue Sworks

They should give you a new bike. Thats the best Solution for you!
It has gotten to that point , I dropped it off last week , I had it one day and the issue started , we’ve had it at the shop more time than on a trail but now it’s gone back waiting for a new one I ordered a Comp model to do a complete build up from so that getting assembled Monday and take it from there

As a matter of interest , when mine skipped I felt it directly in my feet not behind me I know sounds weird but it is what it is
You are using the stock front chainring i would assume. I have had a mystery skip like you describe come from a worn chainring that was not old. Like you i replaced everything then i finally realized it was simply the chain sliping on the front chainring, Doh!

We dont have restrictions where we ride ebikes because they are also legal for motorcycles. Id like to ride in the Class3 setting but I heard it's less power. Can someone explain?

I am running 220mm rotors front and rear now.

I heard this too and i tested mine on flat ground and hills and i did not notice a difference. Power seemed the same on a steep climb in both modes when i compared back to back and on flat pavement there is no power drop as you pass 20 mph. This is a rumor started before the bike was released and thank god its not true.

I don't think it's just a rumour.

This was posted by a Specialized partnered rider. I am also sure I saw references to power halving above 20mph when in Class 3 mode in some of the reviews.

Levo G4 would also make a great ´motorcycle´ for motor pacing, right? (I bet it can maintain 24-27 mph on the flats)

So in practice there seems to be no penalty for riding in class 3. If you are riding in class1 when you hit 20mph you can feel the power cut, but if you are riding in class 3 you seem to have full power up to 20mph and then reduced 250watts up to 28mph before assistance cuts. On flats and down hills getting to 28mph pretty easy, but add a hill and you can feel that power reduction above 20 mph... in others words you don't floating at 28mphs up hills.

Would make a great G4 YT video - you could spin it either way for max clicks

LOL, one down side is you can't swap to Class 3 while moving. You have to come to a complete stop. not to mention it takes two hands to find that mode screen.... its the worst
