it was around $6,000. I don't want to pay 9K-10K for another bike right now, and that current Race motor seems to be reliable. What deal did you get to commit to an AM right now?

Which build if you don't mind sharing? The current race motor is fine especially on a stellar deal.it was around $6,000. I don't want to pay 9K-10K for another bike right now, and that current Race motor seems to be reliable.
It was the SLX/XT build. I will eventually upgrade the drivetrain to full XT. I alas have a Chris King extra wheelset with Revel carbon rims. If I can upgrade that to Super Boost, I'll put that on.Which build if you don't mind sharing? The current race motor is fine especially on a stellar deal.
Everything looks great on the AM SL except for that legacy SX motor.
I ‘d buy it 2 years ago but not today as an upgrade to the SL as much as I want the travel. Left to consider what Yeti and and the TQ60 are bringing to the table of lighter bikes. Maybe the mid power motors are just stagnant which lead to the motor decision on the AM SL. I am honestly baffled with the motor decision and market timing on the LT earlier and this one. I’ll go ride but won’t hold my breath although secretly hoping for a stellar LT SL!![]()
Bike and motor manufacturer collaborate prior to motor launches to accomodate the bike development period and a timely launch. The SX and Ride 60 hit the market around the same time (early second quarter of 2023) and there are a handful of SX powered bikes announced then (Trek, Orbea, Focus, others). Pivot went with the Ride 60 and the Shuttle SL at that time. They could have dropped the SL AM with either motors back then. They basically come to the market with a product that Santa Cruz (Heckler SL) and others did 2 years ago. Pivot's bikes are refined but as mentioned, the timing on the the SL/AM and the LT drive units is just mmeh. The design time for a bike from concept to production is often well over a year, if not more.
Could you share where you purchased from? I am starting the hunt this week to try to get the best deal I can on a Pivot Shuttle LT. Feel free to message me direct if you don't want to share the dealer name here.It was the SLX/XT build. I will eventually upgrade the drivetrain to full XT. Here it is.
I think I talked to you on the phone yesterday. Are you that fast old guy that I can barely keep up with?Is one headed your way? It sure is tempting.
Considering how much I like my existing AM with the dialed in fork, shock, brakes, dropper, etc., I'm going to try to show some restraint. It's going to be hard.
... they are one of the nicest bikes out there... the fit and finish is 2nd to none, and the geo is spot on. I put Pivot and Santa Cruz in the same category. MAYBE Yeti...Man, pivot pricing just keeps getting more expensive. 9k USD for entry level.
Are you that fat old guy that I can barely keep up with?
Except the quality of the ride is night and day different.Too late, Too heavy, Too bad. I betrayed my loyalty to Pivot and purchased an Amflow.
16,600, you meant to say 14,500. No other bike manufacturers add the $600 range extender and a Neo live valve shock and lists it on their website as a complete purchase, so your pricing is skewed a bit. Yes $14,500 is steep and it doesn’t even include a wireless dropper. Then again, it’s about the same as Specialized and Yeti pricing, which are all outrageous. Yes, the bottom build for that price is pure junk!$16,600 for the top build. LOL. GTFOH.
$8500 the the bottom build with crap parts. LOL

I would love an honest review between the 2... Pivot's quality, fit & finish, and ride are top of the line! Is your Amflow close to the Pivot?Too late, Too heavy, Too bad. I betrayed my loyalty to Pivot and purchased an Amflow.

I think of cars when someone says "fit & finish". I won't argue that Pivot has that category won. However, it doesn't affect how great the overall experience is on the Amflow. All the points add up to make it a better bike - motor (quietness, power, smooth delivery), technology (app, screen, wireless programable controllers, shifting integration, hardwired derailleur...)I would love an honest review between the 2... Pivot's quality, fit & finish, and ride are top of the line! Is your Amflow close to the Pivot?
