I need to sort the lower mud guard. I have a good excuse now to clean it all up and sort it tomorrow as the cable ties gave way on the mudhugger today after flying down some stairs. The gap between the two was allowing so much crap to settle on the lower pivot.

Going to try some 760 wide bars, might need to get a longer stem but recently been running trails where I'm clipping bars.

Not ideal but it’s all I had hanging around and its only for the winter anyway. Back part is Mudhigger and the other small bit is rear part of a front defender just slotted in the gap nicely and cable tied at top. Looks shite but then so do mudguards But does the job.

Ahh just noticed the bottom protector goes above the upper brace. Nice ?

or this one

Not happy with the Heath Robinson job I did the other day, I ordered one of these, trimmed it a bit and it tucks up quite a way inside the mudguard, so should do a good job.

And after making a pigs ear of fitting some helicopter tape on the crank arms, just ordered these off Amazon. They should do the trick.

as you can see from above i looked at tidying the cables but then realised the only way to truly sort it would be to shorten almost all of them, and ain't nobody got time (skill) for that.

My cables are the lengths they came from the factory, so it’s quite easy to tidy them up. Until my LBS shortens them for me, it looks a lot better now.

what you did looks better, i looked at it when i changed the handlebars over but the prospect of sorting it made me want to go find something else to do :D

Be interested in what you do to your Zeb. Mine seems to hold itself up in its travel a bit too much at the moment, seems reluctant to get moving on the smaller, repeated hits like small ruts. I'll play with pressure and service the lowers before I start upgrading I think.

Oh, and the TransX dropper lever has got to go IMO! Stiff and can't get it positioned quite right. I have a Loam I'll stick on.
Hi I agree the transX dropper lever is a ball ache, like you cant just position it right, but £60 .00 for a Loam !!

what is that mudguard set up on the rear , Is it effective?

It’s the RRP Proguard. I’ve not tested it properly yet, but am sure it’ll do the trick. I went for a quick spin round the block, and everything feels really new and tight, so I’m looking forward to everything loosening up. It feels quite heavy, compared to my Cube, which is odd as the CoG is lower on this bike. Maybe it's the tyres??

Here’s a proper pic. Apologies for not lining the tyres up properly! ?
