Couldn't resist posting this pic in the General e-mtb forum - perhaps it might stimulate some photographic creativity :)

You still have a set of fully working and in tact Easton Cully's? There can't be too many of those still in use and spinning on straight axles.
Actually have 2 pairs, haven't used them for ages and thought I would give them a go

Been lurking a while. Chose a small frame after looking at some posts. Got a small E-Escarpe. Climbs really well, even with the e7000. Really fun on the jump line even with smaller travel. I have just ordered the E-sommet VRS in black sunset. Never looked at ebikes much. My main trail bike is a Norco Optic and my enduro sled is a Privateer 161. Have not had such fun for ages.

I put the original (almost 1 year old) DHF / HR2 tyres back on yesterday. I've been running Magic Marys since November.

The maxxis tyres are amazing on the dusty forest floor!

I got my e-sommet at 7am this morning! Not bad for under 10 days since ordering. Bike was well packed. Not a mark on it. The boxing is much better. Steerer/stem padded heavily. Cables all nice and short. I have loved the Sommet frame ever since DirtMags review back in 2017. One of nicest riding frames out there IMO. Will go tubeless today and add some horizon pedals.

The longer I own the bike the more I like the way it looks - I know a lot of people dont like the look of the external batteries, but I really dislike how "fat" some of the other EMTB's look, especially the top tubes.

I was out the other day, and whilst stopped for a break there where two other riders near me with a Decoy and an Orbea, and they made the Vitus look a supermodel next to a prop forward the Orbea in particular looked so bulky.

I really like the regular tube profiles on the Vitus.

Love mine as well. No issue with how the external battery looks. It's an e bike at the end of the day I don't see the fascination of making a bike look like something it's not. Dont get me wrong some brands have done a good job at it and I'm sure the next model e Sommet will be redesigned to keep up with the trend as well, but for me it was never a deal breaker.

Plus I keep the battery in the house and having the ability to remove it instantly with no faff is priceless. Give me Function over style points anyday.

Agree fully on the external battery. They do look really lean. Nice to be able to have a backup battery on hand and an easy switch.

Looking forward to the test ride later. DH LAPS. Convert to tubeless straight away or burn up those tubes. Got so many spare tubes :p

Do a ride or 2 on the tubes. Should help press the tape down solid.
