Answered Riding in Sweden

Hi All, hoping to get some advice on riding in Sweden.

I’ll be moving from the UK to Gothenburg in a few weeks time for 12 months.

I’m debating which bike(s) to take with me. I had planned to take the ebike as a “do anything” but had read somewhere that you cannot use ebikes in the woods etc under the “everyman’s right”.

Can any locals confirm or deny?

I can't answer your question, but I was in Sweden for a few weeks last months, and there where a lot of EBikes in general being ridden around, and a fair few places hiring out EMTB's round where I was in Mora.

Cool, thanks for the info. I saw they are stocking them in the LBS as well, so I'm guessing people are riding them in the local area. Think I'll just go for it and wait for someone to pull me up on it ;-)

In Scandinavia you can ride eMTB's as normal MTB's. No worry and take a look at Trailforks, you can find trails around Gotenburg
