Pic of the Day

I’m not happy with the colour of my yoga mat.🤮

Before I head out I do some easy stretches. The short ride to the trail head gives me a mild workout and starts the heart rate (160bpm +).
Before I start out with a ride, I like to begin with some gentle groaning, followed by a bit of controlled grimacing.

@Just gan

Just so you know, this will be difficult being Scottish .. but that sign does not mean you have to be Pissed to access - though extra confusion could be caused by the placing of the bar next to it ..

Just curious. Are those hills developed for mtb’ing also? Seems to be the trend around here. (Climate change?)

I was just in Cumberland in Van island and those mtb trails are well developed.

Anyways, Mnt Cain, Mnt Washington, Grouse Mountain and Whistler were my ski destinations. Mostly Mnt Cain (powder and avalanche hill…ask me how I know).

The trail network on Whistler is impressive ($$$$). You don’t even need to go up the mountain. Did Lord of the Squirrels 🐿️ once on a borrowed meat bike. (6 f***** hrs and lots of water).

Takes me back to being 15 in 1995 and getting pissed on gluhwein at the top of a mountain in Austria, and trying to snowboard back down to the village as the light was fading! I just felt like a pair of eyes floating down the mountain. Surprisingly I made it back in one piece, and I think it actually improved my board control from then on... although weirdly enough I don't think I've ever been drunk in charge of snowboard since then :D

Yeah, I’ve watched more than a few videos of those races. Good thing is…I don’t get dizzy until half way through.

Don't watch much mtb to be honest or all the other extremes we see nowadays. Getting that you don't know what's real anymore. Find it hard to believe folk risk there life's as much as we see , but hey ho as we say.

Fashion Island too. Where is this
Non-locals may be confused/misled by this.
Fashion “Island” is a primarily shopping area within Newport Center near the coast in Newport Beach. If you zoom in you can make out the silhouettes of some taller building in the first pic.

The photos look like views from various points near Main Divide Road.

I have that exact one in blue
My lad got one from his mother in law for some strange reason. She haunts car boot sales. I wanted to try it but he binned it before i got the chance. Never forget the time round about 2001 . I was in Coyd e Brenon ( sorry to any Welsh ) .Coming down the Red Bull Trail or Karrimore trail they were state of the art then . I came upon a few unicycles in front of me . After I passed first one he started shouting at his mates , two wheeler two wheeler. Impressive to watch.
