Pic of the Day

How are you drying them off after cleaning before charging? I've used a leaf blower with very limited results. Trying to keep any metal bits from starting to rust...
Hand dry them with old T-shirts, lube the chains, then in our garage they are bone dry by the next morning. Charge them before next going out.

Wife says she wants to do a long ride on Monday
There is always Balance in a sound relationship.

As seems to be the thing to do these days on the forum, I've not properly read most of the exchanges so might have missed something.

But from what I've read, can you confirm all this works.

So you hand dry the wife with old t-shirts then lube the chains - I take it these are some form of security chains to keep the wife in place in the garage while she dries off over night ? Is this to stop the chains clanking around and annoying you or to stop the chains fraying her wrists/ankles (I don't know your exact setup).

I don't presently have a wife, but from a longer term investment perspective, can you tell me how much I should charge one each time before we go out ?

If she needs chains to keep her in place you've got a dud. ;)

Beautiful forum—one post shows photos of snowy landscapes, the next one desert scenery: an incredible consecutio temporum!
Sitting here in winter mode I thought the same. Scrolling through the pics is like hot and ice tub jumping. Makes me wonder how long it takes mens mind to adjust to a 180 days shift in seasons, e.g. if you move permanently from Europe to Australia.

My brother moved from the UK to Brisbane, Australia and it took him ten years to be completely settled!
Things that took a bit of getting used to:
  • Xmas on the beach!
  • Acute homesickness every 28th December, when his whole family rang him up from the pub to sing him happy birthday! (Bastard's trick!) :ROFLMAO:
  • Awful beer!
  • Rain like being under a waterfall!
  • Floods, with water as far as the eye can see!
  • Forest fires, as far as the eye can see!
  • Outdoor temperatures in Summer!
  • Nine out of ten of the world's most venomous spiders! (His wife got bitten by a red-back on her fingertip, followed by 24 hours of agony, on her whole arm, that no painkiller would touch).
  • Nine out of ten of the world's most venomous snakes!
  • Having to check that there are no crocodiles in the water!
  • A corrugated metal roof being the best! (Especially with their rain).
  • Not being able to say the place names on the road signs.
He's been out there for 25 years now and there is absolutely no way he's leaving. He absolutely loves the place.
He came back after nine years for our Mother's 80th birthday and he did think, albeit briefly, about not going back. But a year later he was fine.

First ride on the new bike, and also first ever ride on an ebike. Absolutely loved it! Did 20 miles with 1400ft of climbing and got home feeling as fresh as when I left, which is mad as I'm usually pooped by the time I get home.

Still need to tweak the suspension a little bit and change the stock grips but otherwise I couldn't be happier with the bike.

I’ve been fascinated by the saguaro cacti here in the Sonora desert. Occasionally my anthropomorphic tendencies see things in them that reflect my current state of mind. Some examples -

me as I headed out on yesterday’s ride on the Competitive Track at White Tank Mtn Park

me trying to deal with boulders, drops, and steep/sharp uphill switchbacks on the “tech” and “pro” sections

Anyone ready for a second lap?
