Pic of the Day

Couple more from today at Hawes trail system. Bottom picture is the beginning of a DH jump trail called Dirt Therapy. Opens with a tabletop into a right hander with some exposure. The traverse on the right is (dark) blue climb, Cactus Nectar that has exposure the whole way.
The top pic is Iron Goat and has some steepish switchbacks in that pic I promise.

Got a little more than 9 miles (14.5km) in at Phoenix Mountain Preserve this afternoon. This is looking at Chunky Monkey trail. There’s actually a chance of rain here the next couple of days, but it was perfect today at 72° (22°C) and mostly clear.

The pogies look the business are they warm ? . What's on back of bike ?
They are bloody brilliant in this weather. This is my second season with them and I wouldn't do winter without, now. I was wearing a pair of Briskers underneath, to keep my fingers toasty, and they work so well in combination. Briskers on their own would have meant cold, painful fingers today, in sub-zero temps, but not with the poggies! The bike has bikepacking kit all over, a rear fat rack from Aeroe and a mudguard from SKS (though that's being replaced soon, as it simply doesn't keep my clean and dry in filthy conditions). I highly recommend the Aeroe kit, which I've been using for a few years now, on different bikes, it's just brilliant on eMTBs.

I use pogies on sea kayak and rivers always warmer than gloves.
