Yes get big mileage if he has the 800 battery . Two lads I know doing a few long ones 96 k the biggest loads of climbing too. Saying that one came off two days ago face plant and bottom lip peeled back and a hole at the bottom near teeth , five stitches. Won't show you the pic.
I bought the amflow because of the weight. Mine is 21.5kg with exo+ and cusch core XC and because of the 1kg fast charger. The rest has to be used appropriately, otherwise it becomes dangerous with so much thrust.

Yes more power can be good or bad as we know.

New bike? I may have missed it but what happened to your red-blue Speci? πŸ€” And how do you get along with those gorilla rubber grips? πŸ˜‰

Yes sold other one 3 weeks ago I think. Grips are for when I turn it upside down to take battery out so controls don't get damaged. I actually lost one yesterday .Enjoying new bike it handles as if it was lighter but it's not .

We used to maintain a little generator even though we were on mains as bad weather used to take it out regularly. My mechanic neighbour had a 7 litre truck engine (Perkins Diesel) in an outbuilding for his needs! :D
Yes amazing this day and age .I've been to Scoraig peninsula near Dundonnell a few times . First time well over twenty years ago , it is all wind and solar powered . No road in but the track has a few interesting bits all cycleable ?. Last time there a few years ago i was told it gets a postman over in a boat a few times a week. Had a primary school . Only vehicle back in the day was a Fiat Panda taken over on planks between two tiny cobbles. To say there are some strange people living there would be an understatement.

Best laid plans "n" all that !
A good sized group of us were going to meet at Helwith Bridge, N.Yorks tomorrow but the wet weather has scuppered those plans ..
Now we are not fair weather riders ..but a large section of the planned route goes over Limestone escarpments ..and if you've never had the pleasure of riding on wet Limestone let me tell you it's brown trouser stuff and not particularly recommended πŸ˜‰.
Dave Brown who is leading the ride has brought it forward to today ..but unfortunately both myself and Wayne who have 2.5 hour journeys to get there couldn't make it to get back in time for our respective evening plans ..so hope to do it at a future date .
Not that we let that put us off riding ..we just made it a little more local and did The Broadway & Black Way ( aka Isaacs Tea Trail ) in The North Pennines , Northumberland .
The Broadway is a rocky mess which is never the same twice ..not fast by any means but extremely technical..( no pics )
The Black Way is in winter is one of the boggiest bridleways you could ever ride ( but fun in a different kind of way if you don't mind getting wet & cold ) .. but in a prolonged dry spell a fantastic 3 mile moorland singletrack nirvana ..in between these two sections is another fantastic drop down Fell View an extremely steep grassy drop accessed by a stretch of shooters tracks ..
The following pics of Wayne ..mainly on The Black Way

Not exactly sure of numbers ( roughly 19miles ..) as my App stopped part way around ..but suffice to say we got finished to keep our respective other halves happy for this evening 😊
After four decent rides since last Saturday..my legs are looking forward to a rest 😁

Can’t add anymore to that great description my wordsmith friend but will add that the singletrack was really hard work there and back and throughly enjoyable.
A few pics of Neil doing his thang……IMG_0068.jpegIMG_0066.jpegIMG_0067.jpegIMG_0069.jpegIMG_0074.jpegIMG_0075.jpegIMG_0076.jpeg

That’s some going Colin, well impressed πŸ‘

Love that place, the adventures I've had there. My memory is a bit sketchy but I think this was Arrieta twenty years ago. That cliff was tiny, we had to wait for the wind to start howling, ended up being a knife edge between drowning or being blown miles inland.

Bit of a change in pace, Did a section of the High Peaks Trail. Nice and quiet on Friday before the bank holiday madness.
Its quite pleasant if a little err, boring. Nice traffic free trail though, be great for kids/family. Apologies for the offensive white spring...I don't know how much longer I can bear it..........

Raleigh I had one of them as a bairn. Im curious what you graduated in haha.
Psssssst, not him, her! ;)
I have an applicant flying in on Monday for an interview who was inspired by everyone's suggestions, so yes, I'll keep you informed !

As indicated by the β€žPartners in a Secondβ€œ flyer on the table it looks like there was a speed dating earlier this week, that was either not well promoted or all others left already. However, it ended in a joint trip end of this week with a graduation in eMTB riding.

Now we only have to find out who.

When I saw it I thought "I bet someone one the forum had on one of those"
At one time I got a plastic looking motorbike engine with batteries that fitted on and made a noise. Probably out of embassy coupon bookI reckon 7 or 8 years old as I only vaguely remember having it. Bit of cardboard in spokes probably sounded as good.
