Wow what a coincidence, I think I know the house you’re describing. Opposite the ‘village farm house’ just before the junction into the main village ?

No, the farm on the side of the hill level with the White Horse, off to the right 1/4 mile as you look at the pic.

Wish I lived up there now!

Looking for new trails. A nice rock trail was found.

Not that much MTB this year but had a good ride on my „home trail“ last Sunday.

A nice flow crossing with deep mud and steep uphill

End of summer and still fair-skinned

Nettles and blackberry busches on all smaller trails. Always hoping not to be the fist passing through or that it is good keeping away rheumatism.

Some have horses on a hill, some made from driftwood. (by Driftwood-Arts, I found out).

Seen a couple ambulances when I left Aviemore and a couple Police cars speaking to bikers .

Newcastleton ..quite a way North & East of the Grand Canyon ..and one of the 7 Stanes Centres in the Scottish Borders ..
We weren't meant to be here but Colin couldn't get a horse/ dog sitter (and I don't know the Jedburgh route )..Wayne also a "casualty" to organising a family break ..so myself & Jaco headed to our nearest Scottish trail centre..
Having not been here for a good while ( and maybe only once on an ebike ) ..it's easy to forget that there are some great sections ..even if it's quite a short experience without a diversion to shave off even more ..so we did the first half of the ride twice ...
A sunny but breezy day with ground conditions more than a little damp did nothing to spoil our enjoyment ..it was excellent

Never thought I would see 3000 Harleys going out

3000? Pah! a mere trickle!!!
A few weeks ago on "Dave's Day" I stood and watched approx 20,000 bikes go past.
Every model of bike you have ever heard of, plus a few you probably haven't heard of.
I didn't know that so many "Indians" existed!
