Ballyholme Bay, Bangor, Co Down, N Ireland earlier today.

Local trails are well dried out and today was just a beautiful day to be out on a bike. 20 miles covered and finished off with a coffee and bun watching the boats go by. Bliss.

( that debris is the remains of WW2 air raid shelters which they repurposed as a breakwater)

Nice little evening ride ..very quiet so took the opportunity to be a very naughty boy by climbing up Deadwater Fell ( black downhill section) which I've wanted to tackle for a while ..managed it without a dab which I was totally chuffed about ..but don't tell anyone!
Had to make the most of this evening before the hordes of gravel bikers ( don't see the point..but 1500 riders do .. ) descend on the village for the Kielder 200 event at the weekend ..

Cracking afternoon at Yearsley in the sunshine

I had a fun 20 miles out this morning.

Mr Snek came out to enjoy the sun.

This bush stole my glasses right off my face.

And I sent this descent I've been eyeing.

There is some cracking singletrack in the woodland above Hexham which you won't find marked on any map ..local knowledge is key ..which is why myself and Colin are lucky enough to ride with Tasker & Jaco who live right on its doorstep ..

It had been a while since all four of us had ridden together ..Great to catch up again..and the craic was as daft as ever

Took my 'proper' camera yesterday but when we got to Darwen Moor, it was covered in heavy low cloud so never even took it out of my rucksack! Very windy too.

Still snuck in 16 Miles with my missus, although she skipped the trip to the top because of the wind...

This was the best I could get, and taken on my phone!

Saturday morning, bottom of Jacob's Ladder....

2 minutes later and.....

Revisited the scene of the crime with a mate, halfway up Jacob's Ladder at the cairn....

..and then lightening strikes again as his brand new, less than 3 miles on the clock, Trek Rail got to the top and promptly lost the rear mech to a rock strike...
