Too many people easily offended at the slightest thing nowerdays

I agree. Texting can be difficult to convey content or message or meaning. I’ll give the benefit of doubt to the poster and read between the lines …several times sometimes.

Emojis kinda help. 👍🏻
I'm pretty thick skinned so not easily offended, probably where i have worked all my life. In my local language we have various meanings for the same word , an example would be ,you can ca (call) me anything but don't ca me our, meaning don't knock me over . Here endeth today's Doric lesson.

One of the reasons I love this forum is when Maureen says who you gabbing to now , I can say Stihldog from BC or such and such from Finland or even that lad from Albuquerque .
That’s funny because after reading some posts, on this forum, I tell my wife …”guess what I learned today”!

Sometimes I get an eye roll 🙄.

Have you ridden the trails at Watchwood Steve? They’re good fun. Nothing steep or techy but flow really well and nice & fast
One of the powerboard people I spoke to on Wednesday mentioned Watchwood. I had meant to look that up. Thanks for the reminder.

Don’t know if you’ll be able to see this but it’ll give you an idea of what the trails are like:

View attachment 155803View attachment 155804Nice to get out for a ride with my eldest this morning. Autumn makes for some epic riding conditions.
He’ll be starting football again soon, so weekend rides together will go on hold until Spring. Make the most of it while we can, I say.
No offence but your eldest looks a bit old to be starting football. Unless it's subbuteo🤣🤣🤣

I saw the Vulcan on its final tour flight- what a sight!
Where is it parked now?
This one is at Wellesbourne airfield in Warwickshire, but think there are quite a few others around as well. Sadly , they won’t let them fly now. This one, they used to start up and taxi up and down the runway now and then . Not sure if they still do.

Well, depends:
Football?
American Football?
Soccer?

Strange feeling reading you are enjoying autumn rides while I am getting ready for spring, today had 21c! No doubt, it is quite unusaual for early March.

I was there today and I had no idea what to expect (I hadn't seen your helpful post). I bottomed out both ends of my suspension. On the fork, I increased the HSC a couple of clicks and the LSC also and it was definitely better. But I suspect that the real fix will be another token in the fork. The shock bottomed out because I'd set the compression too low, 3 away from fully open instead of 3 away from fully closed. That made a big difference, but not as much as putting the 3-position lever into "Medium" instead of "Open"

Did you enjoy the trails there and find them ok ?

We have a small WhatsApp riding group of 16 members which are spread all over North East England & Scotland ( N.Yorkshire / Lancashire/ Co.Durham/ Northumberland & Glasgow ..some of whom meet up regularly and others because of distances involved on an infrequent basis..
Yesterday on a fantastic Spring day was one of the occasions when the majority of the group ( 9 riders) all came together for a ride suggested by Wayne ( @The EMF )out of The Dales Bike Centre , Grinton, N.Yorkshire ..and led by Dave Brown & Michael Bee..who have excellent knowledge of this fantastic mtb playground ..30.6 miles later with 4028ft climbing with some batteries failing on the way to the last section ( I got back with 0 range but the motor still giving some assist in eco ) ..meant that none of us felt short changed !😁
A very large selection of pics with contributions from Phil, Dave, Michael & myself ..
Thanks to all ..it was brilliant 👏

Plenty of good riding to be had up there👍
Stayed in the barn last year and it was great, but can't get in this time so got a camping barn booked somewhere near for next month's jolly 😁
