Pic of the Day

Some clouds rolled in tonight to enhance our sunset.

Yup. We already have super glowy sunsets without clouds, but add some clouds and it becomes spectacular.

Not my pic but a friend captured this one at Hawes yesterday.

Got out fairly early this morning to ride the Borrowdale Bash, the trails were deserted, didn’t see another rider on the whole loop. There was only signs of life once you got off the bottom of Catbells and were heading back in to Keswick.
The Bontrager tyres that the Rail came with are rubbish, absolutely no grip on rocks at all, it’s a shame I didn’t get time to fit the Kryptotals I’d bought before we came away.

Did that a few weeks ago but on a busy, sunny day. Saw probably ~20 MTBers out with 75% analogue. Some decidedly hairy sections descending into Rosthwaite !

It's annoying but a couple of punctures a year are to be expected, luckily it didn't happen in the middle of nowhere.
Will be fixed tomorrow with a new tube
Try fix it with a motorcycle plug (tubless - it looks like a mashroom).
Glue the round part inside, pull the plug and cut it. Upu should be able to use UST again

Any PGA Tour fan knows TPC Scottsdale. I live literally next door to the venue; and my 85 year old father still WALKS 4 rounds of golf a week, so I went over there and grabbed a Father’s Day gift for him.
It feels like 105° (40.5 C) but a few brave souls are still out there playing. I guess the discounted summer rates make it worth it?
Shot from the clubhouse looking up 18.

Can see why they don't. Bike shops would be up in arms after customers rush straight back with wheels feeling like they have weights glued on after the bike they bought after sitting in the shop for six months has a load of sealant turn solid.

I meant fit them after you've bought the bike . Everyone tells me it's so easy to fit them .

My last two bikes have came set up fully tubeless. All I had to do was adjust tyre pressure to suit.

Setting tubeless up yourself for the first time with new wheels or tyres can be faff (not always) but it's better than the hassle of patching or changing a tube at the side of a trail, especially if it's cold, muddy or raining. When actually riding I've had way more punctures/tube failure than I've ever had tubeless issues.

Tubeless is up there with dropper posts for me... an absolute MTB essential. I could never go back to the old ways.

It is a faff. I love working on bikes & it's my least favourite thing to do.
I nearly managed it a couple years ago but flat in morning just put me right off. I'm finding at 70 some things on my bike are a faff. I have a mate who loves ploutering with bikes has all the proper tools , and knows how to use them. Still sort a puncture so I'm OK.
