Based on the Specialized website spec's

Expert
"Roval Traverse SL, DT Swiss Star Ratchet, 54t engagement, SRAM XD driver body, 12mm thru-axle, 148mm spacing, 28h"

Comp Carbon
"Specialized Turbo, sealed cartridge bearings, 12x148mm thru-axle, 28h”

Whats required to find compatible freehub bodies for own brand hubs like comp? Sorry out of my comfort zone here.

Did you ever get the answer to this?

Yes and no, in essence the DT Swiss based hubs can use DT Swiss conversation kits and parts etc. The specialized branded hubs on the comp/comp carbon are likely a no go unless someone can identify a compatible freehub body.

TBH I’m sceptical a compatible MS exists it’s possible there is a XD but I think complete wheel change is likely the sensible and/or the more cost effective upgrade option.

My bike should arrive in a couple of days (SL comp carbon). One of my upgrades will be going from the NX shifter to XO1. Does the stock SL come with the e-bike specific single-click shifter or the standard one? If single click, will it still work with the standard shifter?

Nice! It’s a Standard shifter

Absolutely!! The 34 is a noodle. Glad they went with better shocks.

now how long until they make an enduro SL.

Picked up my SL on Saturday and loved it until I got to the downhills and rooty sections. I now know what you mean by noodle. I've never seen flex in forks before yesterday's ride. Scary and funny at the same time! Fork is the first upgrade on the list. I think the Lyrick ultimate looks like a good compromise between weight and stiffness.

Couple of noob questions. I'm very part time mechanic..Sorry. First, well second EBIKE but very new to all this.

I'm going with 160 travel, either Fox Factory 36 or Lyrik ultimate, still deciding but what do I need specifically in terms of fit. Tapered, 51 offset and 29 wheel option, Is that it in terms of requirements?

I'm also looking to change the brakes as I love the shimano XT 8020 4 pots. Anyone kept the SRAM rotors and just fitted the callipers on the stock post mounts. Obviously change the levers......

Personally I think you should prob select the fox 36, 44 offset.
As for breaks I have the SRAM and the trickstuff break pads 850PO which just changed my opinion of them, not really I hate them but they’re good. Just after you bleed and fit them to the rotors re-hammer a break block in and then refit them again and they’ll work as designed. But I still ordered some trickstuff maximums Because I don’t like tired fingers from breaking when I take a trail bike down a pro downhill course.

I've ridden both offsets on my sl. 44 offset with a 170 lyrik and 55 with a fox 36. sticking with the fox 36 but honestly couldn't really feel a ride difference in relation to offset. the fox has a coil spring in it. now that makes a BIG difference!.

I ride shimano saint brake with sram 220 rotors without any problems. so has internal cable housing making swapping easy

New owner question. Just picked up comp carbon and will need to change the chainring, probably 32T, can anyone advise a good option that will fit ?

Just for fun 3 rides, same loop, 1000 ft climbing, same setting in mission control, zero mode switching:

15/100 turbo 14.3 miles: 83% avg assistances, 50% battery, 1h26

15/100 trail 14.3 miles: 37% avg assistance, 27% battery, 1h29

15/100 eco 14.3 miles: 29% avg assistance, 21% battery, 1h31

Is that battery percentage used or percentage left?

Very interesting! So my 30/80 setting that I use 99% of the time in Trail would be different if I used it in Eco?
I just put it on Trail as that’s what the bike starts up in - and it saves me changing it ?

just want to give a shout out to Offsetbushings.com. its the only company making bushings that I could find in the SL size. uk to us took about 3 weeks. quality is excellent and it to my HA to 65deg. liking it!

Could you post what you purchased? Also did it change your travel amount?
I just gave them the make of my bike and shock id be using and they did the rest. I didn't include the info originally when I ordered the bushing and they reached out to me to get the info. if it effects overall travel its minimal or none.

So in other words it's how quickly it delivers the maximum peak amps that have been preset

Mishmash Control is now showing "Sport" instead of "Trail".

I have one from them too. With the cascade link, I can't run it though because the shock yoke touches the seatstay. Love the geo changes though. Have one from them thats 50% of the the offest to get a bit of the effect back.

Did you get your HTA to measure that it's 65 deg? I always found that it was more of a 0.5 deg change. Are you also running a 160mm fork?

That's really strange. I didn't think the modes had some intrinsic differences. I have found that on my settings (30/100 trail and 60/100 turbo .. I think), Turbo drastically reduces battery life. My thought was that I was just using that extra support more often.

yup, 160mm fork. 65deg was what my phone angle app told me. not sure how accurate it is but I can feel the difference when riding

That sounds right. I am at ~64.5 deg with a 170mm fork (it's a bit longer in A2C comparitively). When I had the offset in there as well, it was ~ 64 deg. Definitely noticeable.

100miles and 30kft descending on the bike over 3 days last week. Didn't miss the Kenevo once :)

ya, its a very capable bike when properly equipped. thinking these motors might fair better than the Brose ones. my shop hasn't had any reported issues. and they can't keep SL's in stock

My LBS can't keep a Levo SL floor model in stock. Literally. As soon as a floor model arrives, it's gone the same day. My 2021 Carbon Comp arrived yesterday but remains in the box. It will undergo major changes before it leaves the shop and the OEM parts that I'm replacing are headed for Ebay. This thread has been an invaluable source of information for my upgrade/customization decisions. I've read all 86 pages.
