My shock had come back from fox rebuilt so alls good but on the last few rides I’d noticed a loud creak coming from the stem/bars area . As the shock was dying I thought that could’ve been the issue as creak noise spreads everywhere. I mentioned this to lbs mechanic when I went in for the shock swap and he rubbed his chin , lifted the frame with the weight on the front wheel and gave it a good bounce . LOUD creak from the stem area and matey recons possibly a cracked crown , so might have to go back to fox under warranty !
Have any Marzocchi Z1 owners had this issue ?

On the same ride my rear shock went bang I also noticed an annoying and very obvious creek from the front too so I wonder if I have the same issue, its going in on Saturday so i'll let you know the result.

Boom, 2nd time after it was repaired few weeks ago :(

Its a bit of a joke, as I think I said earlier in this thread, my LBS said to me when the spec of the Kenevo Comp was announced, that they could see a hell of a lot of warranties coming their way with Spesh speccing the CR on the rear based on failures they had seen with the shocks over the last year, and that was before any bikes had even hit shops, and sure enough look what's happening.

You can only think that Specialized and Marzochi did one hell of a deal price wise to get them to spec it on the bike, its not like the Super Deluxe on the expert is an expensive shock, cant see why the hell they didn't just use that on the back unless they where heavily incentivised by Marzochi to put their products on the bikes.

A creak from the front end is often the steerer coming unbonded from the CSU. It's a common RS failure point; my Yari forks were swapped out last year because of it.

Those failed Bomber shocks are a worry; I was going to get one for my Rail. :(

Could anyone tell which bushings exactly are needed to install the RS super delux damper on the 2020 Kenevo?

My shock failed today after one blue run! Only rode the bike twice and this happens at the start of the 3rd ride! Not happy!

Thx Scott!

Can’t tell you sorry but did spesh swap the mrz for the deluxe ?
I asked them already for that when it broke the 1st time but they said it was out of stock.

If that's the case again (still awaiting the mechs call) I will buy my own one. I can't have a bike with an unreliable build, e.g. when it comes to travel and vacation this year.

My replaced Kenevo back together with all the good bits. This time I put the Rohloff back on!

Brothers Kenevo with 29/2.5 wheels back and front. Had to use my single crown Lyrik for now to see how it rides first. So far he loves it on our urban creek test ride.

To anyone who has a Kenevo comp with the Marzocchi shock - Do you have a picture of the spring with the writing on it? or even better the dimensions of the spring?

Am I right in thinking the S3 is 500x2.35?

Good day.

It's a 500lbs x 2.80" travel spring.

I bought these and are just with the mech to mount it. And its clearly not 6x20 but 8x20 :(
Really???? Dude, I am sorry!!!! That is what worked on mine. Maybe the packaging I got was mislabeled or something. Again, apologies.

Don´t worry mate. The mech took a good sip out of his bottle, fetched the 8mm drill and made it work:

Given the performance of the comp CR shocks I guess I wasn´t the last one doing this exercise. So maybe it helps someone to see the right bushing size (8x20 upper eye, nothing in the lower.)

That is great news!! Glad you got it sorted.

So, after a quick trial fit of my Hope E4 front brake on the 2020 Kenevo Expert, it became quickly apparent on the first ride that the E4s unfortunately don’t have the bite for this beast.

What brake setups are others running on the 2020 Kenevo? I wasn’t too happy with the Code Rs in stock form.

These are my options at the moment:

1. Trickstuff aftermarket pads and bigger rotors with the Code R’s (see below)
2. Shimano Saints
3. Magura MT7
4. Hope V4s (as a Lancashire lad I will always have a soft spot for Hope...)

Btw, I already bought 220 & 203mm Magura MDR-P floating rotors (not installed yet).

I love the MT7 with the one-finger trigger on my Levo. Together with the 220 rotors you will have an amazing power.
My new Kenevo will also get the Magura soon. Just waiting for a good deal. :)

Hope V4 220 front /200 rear. Love it.
Bigger front made all the difference for me. I’ve been told the hope vented rotors are supposed to be pretty good. I have a rear one on order.

I upgraded the front brake levers to Code RSC for better modulation and installed Galfer‘s 223 mm rotors together with Galfer’s ebike pads for more braking power (only front wheel).
I tested the combo with excellent results.

I installed the trickstuff pads which for me made a night and day difference. I am still on the stock 200mm rotors which I plan on bumping to 220s soon.

I weigh 260lbs and ride aggressively for a middle aged guy as a reference point.
