Yep, I'm usually the last person to moan about looks but its not a great looking bike. I think all Turq or all black would've been better but not the mix. It’s like they were competing with Spesh to see who could make the fattest downtube. Why for the love of god can’t anyone make a compact battery but DJI?

I don’t hate the color so much, I just hate fat downtubes after seeing how good e-bikes can look with all the DJI bikes.Yep, I'm usually the last person to moan about looks but its not a great looking bike. I think all Turq or all black would've been better but not the mix.
Yep they are. Bikes available straight away.Doubt the price will come down. Launch date will be in 3-4 weeks, so would hope that Yeti is stocked and ready.
New bike day is a legit event, no?Retail is roughly the same price as the S-Works Levo frame. I’m still waiting to see what kind of price I can get it for though, only problem for me is getting it from the US to the UK. I think my luck will eventually run out using the BikeFlights Event shipping hack![]()
Could you give me a little insider info on how much LTE really costs? Just out of curiosity.I was told it will drop tomorrow, I still can’t believe there’s no leaked pics yet though. I’ll probably order one while my mate is still a Yeti dealer, no more Yeti bikes at cost for me after this year![]()
There is an all black option.Yep, I'm usually the last person to moan about looks but its not a great looking bike. I think all Turq or all black would've been better but not the mix.

Totally agree. Even their 600 is just as fat isn't it? Just shorter I think, which is the Vala and Bullit still have relatively fat downtubes as well. It was the form factor they chose for those new batteries that sucks. I believe the old 750 was actually a little slimmer wasn't it?Meh, Bosch really let us down with the size of the 800Wh battery. The LTe is really close to being a great looking bike but that downtube and area around the crank look bloated.
Actually, the 600 is markedly skinnier and affords more svelte frames . That's why other big framebuilders are so loath to use the 800 (e.g Vala) and build them around the 600, which clearly precludes swapping to the 800. Clearly Yeti took the opposite stance, sacrificing looks for versatility. Frankly a hard call on their part, but a bit surprising since they seemed so far to err on svelte/lighter weight setups by going with the anemic TQ. Someone on their design team should have seen the Maxon motor as a design path, basically get your cake and eat it too, albeit still light on battery capacity, but way up there on motor efficiency.Totally agree. Good to know, for some reason I had it in my head they were the same diameter but one was just longer. That explains why the Santa Cruz bikes don't look as bulky as this Yeti. Still bigger than most DJI based bikes, but at least a little better than the Yeti. I agree, weird move on their part then to build around the 800, or really I guess a bad move by Bosch with the design of these new batteries. DJI has clearly shown it can be done in a much more attractive form factor, and they're all using the same commodity cells....Actually, the 600 is markedly skinnier and affords more svelte frames . It's painful to me that the 600wh battery isn't shorter.Good to know, for some reason I had it in my head they were the same diameter but one was just longer. Just looked up the stats, the 800 is longer and wider, ouch. It's painful to me that the 600wh battery isn't shorter.
If the intent was to make the 600 and 800 swappable, why wouldn't you make the 600 the same diameter as the 800, in order to allow for a lower cg ?
Or have manufacturers just design around the 600wh's smaller diameter and disregard the 800.
The MTE just got a lot more attractive, though it's geometry isn't anything to write home about.
Perfect is the enemy of great. I just want a great ride. looks I can get over and thankfully my wife can too!Good to know, for some reason I had it in my head they were the same diameter but one was just longer. DT SWiss have an internally mounted magnet product, so likely using that.Looking at the pictures, I’ve notice that the Bosch rim magnet is nolonger on the rear wheel valve stem area, has Bosch changed the design?

It's like manufacturer (bosch) try to convince us that we want-like-need-asked for ugly-fat downtube frames.
Crossing fingers for maxon not to commit the same marketing-engineering mistake.
Agreed, I don’t think anyone can argue at this point more power is needed, it’s going to be sound and battery density optimizations that happen next. Whatever the next evolution in battery tech is should be interesting to see, any skinnier than the current DJI setups and e-bikes will practically be indistinguishable from regular ones. Maybe if solid state tech ever reaches the promises it was built up for…After whatDJIAmflow released, we've reached a peak in power and perf.
Now it will be about size / weight / sound reduction.
Add the arrival of real-mean CVT (owuru) systems to the equation.
The tech boom after 2026 will be huge !
