Mission Control New Specialized app?

That said rider care did get me out of the poop a couple of times with help to connect etc. I had a dealer firmware update last year and the bike failed half way into a ride. Not a pleasure pedalling out with no motor and DH22 tyres on. Yeah it’s supposed to revert to crawl home mode but it didn’t.

I think specialised are purposely crippling the app. Could it be that there are a whole bunch of new features coming but they can't release it yet as it would give away what the new bike is going to be offering ?
I really hope so... as this new app sucks and I can't use the old one anymore..

Maybe you're right, but in that case why wouldn't they keep the old one valid for this period of time ?

Personally, as long as this application is unreliable, I would not uninstall my current version.

It's still incredible to provide such this poorly designed application... is there no one here who is in a good position to have information from the people at Specialized ???

Is your current version still working? Mien stopped and I could not get past the first screen? if that's the case ill uninstall the new one and re-install the old one ..

Yes, I can still access it, I just have to click below the "get the new application" button there is the option marked "Skip" (Passez en français), and the most important thing is that I especially have my levo which continues to function normally



PS: on the other hand, for my trips I never use the “mission” option, I only use the application for the settings

Ok, got the old one working again. removed both... then installed the old one from a file I had as it's no longer on the App Store.

You can also find it at your iPhone App Store app and under your account-Apps

I used an app called Amazing to side load it off my phone. then saved it. (I do this for all apps I feel might be removed form the App Store)
Then just reloaded it.
if you don't come right ill send you link to the Mission Control app and you can load it using Imazing

The New Specialzed App still missing functionality here and there, that will come....someday. But for me the bigest fail from Specialized is the recorded data: on average 1000hm App is counting around +200hm more, the calories burned are full fail.(With Polar pulse strap) On the same phone with old mission control the records on the same round are fine. The funny thing is: even Mastermind on the bike shows correct values, but connected App recorded data at the end of drive are full crap .Same ride recorded with old Mission control is consistent and correct in comparison to Mastermind records and paralel Strava.
Has anybody encoutered the same, compared with old App and Strava?

Anyone know how to keep using the old app? I use to be able to use it but after taking my bike to the store for a software reflash I cant log onto the old app to see if the motor is now drawing the correct current and the new app does not have the feature, nor can I use Blevo anymore

If the bike software has been updated I don’t think it’s possible, you can only use the new app.

you can, just install manually the Version 3.20. Important! turn off automatic updates. Anyway Specialized made Mission control usage nasty- many features, including motor power draft, are dissabeld by Specialized OTA. They are not really there for us-end user- but for their Ego.

New app seems to only have very simple tuning options, I guess that works for a lot of the basic users but they should offer an advanced menu for those of us that like to tweak

Hi all,

Same as with everyone of us I had to move from the satisfying MissionControl-app to the new Specialized-app.
The old MC doesn't work anymore, as the new app doesn't work properly yet. The same to say for the rest of the digital Spes-world. I waited for a few months now, but don't see that much of the promised improvements.

Reading the experiences of others, the possibilty seems likely that the app besides different versions also behaves differently with different phones, countries, or providers. It occurs to me that there are groups with a specific problem that differs from other groups with other problems.
Is there anyone who analysed this already?

I myself had multiple problems with the new app. It solves one step at the time and still isn't totally solved.
First step was total delete of any trace of the MC on my phone (essential). After that a new update of the bike at my LBS and a new installation of the newest version of the Spes-app brought great improvements, although still not fully functional.
I accept that not every function is available at first version. But it's anoying that the app still doesn't register a full ride and/or all the parameters.
In its last version it can register the ride untill a pause of no longer than about 20 minutes. It doesn't restart itself after that.
To get this result I had to set all phonesettings full open in favor of Specialized. That resulted in a very data-consuming behaviour and also a loss of geographical data in area's with poor networks.

Btw, I have a Levo gen3
I use a Samsung Note 9 on a 4G network in Europe.
Specialized app Version 1.24.0

Any of you different experiences?
Any of you using a better app?

Also, Specialized reports to the subscribed members every month about their activities. Only, there seems no coherence between the report-mail and the personal data.
In the mail there is a knob > view activities< . If you follow the link it will not lead you to your activiteis, but to Specialized's own commercial activities. Murchandise enough, but no personal information about your own rides. Unintended missprogrammed of intentional misleading link to their shop?

Stay tuned, even if it is with another app.

I was marshalling at a local enduro race today. I took my kenevo sl to get around and Berkshire bikes were there, so i asked them to check the ksl for updates.
Loads of updates needed despite green ticks on the current garbage app. If only there was a way to see firmware versions..
Slow hand clap specialized for releasing this utter steaming pile of .
Usually i wouldn't bother, but im hoping to resolve an issue where the motor cuts if you reduce pedal pressure slightly in turbo uphill. Release notes indicate this should be fixed.

Ooh yeah mine does that in Turbo on KSL. Only work around I found was to set Turbo to 90/100 or 80/100. It helped. It would be great if the firmware fixed it for 100/100 though. Did it work out fir you cozzy?

Won't know till tomorrow when i get some bikepark laps in, assuming it doesn't rain.
I was just bimbling around today carrying my stuff for marshalling.
