Got a Norco Sight VLT with just over 100miles on it and both bushes came loose. One lost and one I found.

Norco simply told me to reach out to the bike shop.
Bike shop stated that the Norcos are not compatible with the new bushes and so ordered me the same type.

I had already ordered the new ones by this point.

Currently waiting to hear back from Bosch and asked Norco again for their input.

Quite annoyed by Norcos lack of help so far.

The new bushings and bolts are applicable to all Gen 5 motor bikes. The bolts and the bushings are Bosch components. Exactly the same as my Vala. On my 1st time with the bushing failure, I sent an online request to Bosch directly through their contact link and Bosch sent me what I needed at no charge

Gotta keep an eye on my Range VLT... I'm also a bit annoyed with Norco. First when I tried finding a Sight or Range and they were no help. Suggested I just start calling every shop around because they have no insight. Not like they don't provide stock to shops... Then after getting my Range, I sent them an email regarding how atrocious the rear wheel was out of true (1/4" deflection), to no response.

The bike has been great and build quality solid. I wonder if they lean on shops for support and aren't great with DTC support.

I noticed while cleaning my bike that the motor bolt bushing had came off from my cx5, idk when that has happened, it might have been months ago tbh. I called my local dealer and picked a new bolt+bushing kit from them and swapped them myself, new ones were rubber that squeeze into that hole while the old ones were plastic ones. Bike is cube 144.

Hi Anyone had issues with the seal/ bush falling out of the new gen 5 CX motor?

They are fixed in with the new two bolt system and no body even seems to know the correct torque for T40 bolts.

Had it happen on my Vala. Bosch replaced with the new style bolt and bush in a few days. Torque to 30nm without Loctite. Seems to be fine 200kms in.

Mine came out about 3/4 of the way, I’ve pushed it back in again. They are a really weak design - like it was an afterthought. I’ve lodged a warranty with my bike shop. They are sending me new bushings. Apparently Bosch know it’s a problem and I think they should be supplying new mounts with bikes sold.

Just ordered a Sight VLT CX... did this get fixed for you?
Bit of a late reply but I got replacement bushings from the lbs right away. I noticed they installed them incorrectly, one was not fully pushed trough. Corrected that one, these are the old style bushings, they hold up so far and didn’t come undone. (1000km) I check them regularly.
