The update appeared yesterday. Already several customers have tried to change the settings and have received an error E010 after that. Unfortunately, these customers are so gifted that I still could not figure out what they changed. So advice, do not upgrade yet to 4.5.0 (E7000/E6100) & 4.3.0 (E5000)

That is a helpful warning, thanks! :)
I don't have any of those motors, but thanks anyway. Maybe an equally mysterious update is due for the E8000. It's good to know that someone out there is looking after the rest of us. :)

The Shimano 4.5.0 (E7000/E6100) & 4.3.0 (E5000) firmware updates apparently add support for the new SC-E5000 cycle computer and the new BT-E8035L, BT-E8036 and BT-E8016 batteries, as well as addressing a start mode bug at power on.
Best to be prudent however and hold off updating in case some undocumented and undesirable ‘extra‘ is included too....

They definitely have changed something. Although Shimano has not yet updated ETube for either Windows or smartphones.
