Nice paint job. I am interested in purchasing this frame and motor and just transfering a bunch of my non-e mtb stuff to here.
Where did you get the motor?

Cheers

I got my motor from here

Continuing on the wiring tonight.
Motor side done and motor bolted in. Using a smear of dielectric grease on the connectors, I’m not one for riding in the wet but I live in the Uk so there’s always a muddy puddle 😂 😡.
Pucker 10gauge silicon wire and spark arrest Xt90 for the battery connection.
do not like the Xt60 plug design on the motor tho 🤷‍♂️

Hit the button on some new Magura Mt7 brakes as my old Hays nine brake line wasn’t long enough 🥳🥳, didn’t take much to convince me tho 😂.

Finalised the battery tray design, so that’ll be a nice job for the weekend.

My Fox DPX2 needed a service so that’s at TFtuned being sorted next week.

All coming along nicely 😎

Do like these Xt90s 🙂

Tested and all good, bit of cable management and that’s the wiring finished.

Nice workmanship there, pity we can’t source the XT60 with the same tail covers, they can handle the current OK and not quite so bulky.

Yeah, I used heat shrink over the whole Xt60 (and the grease) 😔.
I hate the Xt60 built into the motor case, I’d rather a nice 10gauge silicon wire and nice rubber seal.

Not pretty, but works!

Keep looking at proper Boost Mullet wheel sets! (STOP IT Dave!!!)

It is seem you don't use narrow wide plate. take care to install an chain guide

🙂 I have a nice new chain wheel on the way that’s a Narrow, wide version. I also found a small upper chain guide I’m going to fit.

I wanted to fit the chain and get the length right and make sure the chain line would work.

which standard of chain guide is it possible to use ?
regards

Don’t actually no. I’m using a spare part from Nukeproof and designing my own bracket.
More to follow on that this week 🙂

Mixed weekend of emotions.
Lows = my new Renthall chainring doesn’t work with a 12speed chain so that’s got to go back.
Highs = started work on the battery mount. Carbon plate is done. Tomorrow making the ally supports that I’ll bond to the frame, the Carbon plate will then bolt to those. Found a long wide strip of Velcro, just need to find some nice straps and the battery not going anywhere.
Started drawing up the Chain guide plate in CAD so I’ll cut some Frp ones to check fitment.

Hopefully my brakes will arrive tomorrow 🙏

Could you describe wich derailleur and wich cassette do you use on your LCES004 ?
thanks

I have an Shimano Slx 12 derailleur and Sunrace 12sp 11-51 Cassette. All untested tho and a KMC e12 chain.

Could you describe wich derailleur and wich cassette do you use on your LCES004 ?
thanks

Don't bother to fit a guide if you are using a Narrow Wide chain ring, used mine like that right through the winter mud and slop and now on the faster trails without a hiccup any where. With the guide the UK mud would gather in the guide and almost derail the chain, every thing it was supposed to not do.

Cheers,

I’m little old school, so when we ditched the front derailleur back in the day! It was a given you ran a guide.

This is actually the first bike I’ve built with a wide/narrow chainring 😆

is the original M500/M510 Bafang chainwheel is narrow wide?

Cut down my dropper post as much as I could 🙂 think I’ve got it low enough not to annoy me!
New hose as old one was too short and bleed!
So much easier with a quality bleed kit.

Fox DPX2 is back from TF Tunned.
Mounting plates are bonded into the frame and Carbon plate bolted in.
Unfortunately waiting for some bits from Germany (😡 gutted I didn’t twig it was a German shop, in the Uk we avoid buying from Eu countries now! China all the way 🥰)

But had a little ride around the garden 😎

Great few days! My Lc4 had its first run around the block 🥳!
Felt very fast @ 28mph 😂
Surprised how light she is will weigh her later on.

Few jobs left to do!
Shorten front Brake pipe.
Battery cover upper clip.
Frame protection kit.
Lube the chain

Hopefully a proper trail ride on Saturday 🙏
