Im thinking of buying levociraptor for my new specialized turbo levo comp. I´ve just been riding like 200 miles but since my last bike was destricted i feel i wand my new bike to be that aswell.

I like the simplicity of levociraptor. Is there anything i need to consider that i might be missing?

It works all the time or is there any known cases of something going wrong ? like some blocking in the software from specialized in the motor or whatever?

Super simple which is why I chose this over others. It’s on all the time and I did not purchase blevo app since speed is accurate with specialized app and Strava if you get the gen3. Plan to upgrade chainring to 36t. I couldn’t tell it was derestricted with stock 34t.

How come you did not notice with original chainring? I think it feels pretty easy to get up to orginal speed so going faster with derestricted should not be a problem!?

probably because Im a smaller rider (5’2” female) and don’t have much leg power. I was rarely able to get to max speed. I’m guessing you’ll have no issue with the stock chainring if you are able to max it out now.

my levociraptor is arriving next week. Ive read that some brose motors had problems... Do alot of motors break now even on the gen 3 ? Or was the problem most on the earlier gen?

Ok ... if I get a older TCU and replace the mastermind... will they still pick up a Levoraptor if I put the Mastermind back in to take it to the shop?

Mail goal is to use smart power

The motors fail. I am (only) on my third motor (Levi is 3 years old now). The dealer said that was good going. Specialized dont specify to me what exactly fails. All replaced gratis. Also had to have internal wiring loom replaced. Corroded. On my second battery and controller (replaced gratis) also.

Specialized have no doubt had some problems, but would like to see documented facts on other companies that sort out the problems just as well or better, where time is also a factor.

Having squeezed 6 years (well, I did have it reconditioned last year - merely a precaution) out of my Gen1 Kenevo motor running constantly deristricted through BLEvo, I'm plugging a Levociraptor straight into my S-Works Levo. The motors are repairable mostly and I'll just send it to the E-Bike Motor Repair Centre if anything happens and warranty is voided. Sod having it restricted

I can't wait to find out if the Levociraptor can work on the Gen 4?!
If you are in the US the new Levo can be set to 28mph as standard. No need for 3rd party derestriction. Unless you want to go faster ofc.

I don’t care about derestriction. I care about BLEvo features like smart heart rate and power.

there is a setting when plugged into the dealer software that allows you to change the rear wheel wheel circumference. set to the lowest number possible. That will add a few mph and thats all you need. no warranty problems either. enjoy.

i installed levociraptor gen3 on 2022 levo with mastermind. worked fine around the garage for few minutes ride.
i went on the trail over the weekend and after a stop during which bike was switched off and on a dreadful `component swap` error appeared on TCU display, which did not go away after several restarts and riding bike for few seconds (some posts suggest that this error goes away after few seconds of riding).
i removed levociraptor on the trail and the error went off and i carried on as normal.

bike is out of warranty, therefore i do not care if specialized finds out or not, they were not very helpful when motor mount snapped (did not even offer a discount on something which is a clear design fault).

a bit disappointed by that dongle, since it was not cheap and is not really doing the job.
interestingly, installation manual does not mention any way to get support shall thing go wrong.
how can i reach the creator of this dongle (i assume author of blevo app) ?

what kind of error you had ?

I used for years this dongle and works perfectly. Some times i had an error, simply detach the cable battery and insert again with more attention and the errors goes away. This is for me a bad clamp by that cable.

The cretor have a special forum for this:

I’ve use Levociraptor on 2 bikes, always remove if the bikes go in for service, they have plugged in to the computer and never come up with any issues or concerns, I find that the bikes set to around 18 mph smooths the ride out, my latest bike is a Gen 3 Sworks and I would notice a power issue and a drop of and pick up the Levociraptor has made this go away.

turtle icon with 15km/h limit. some kind of limp mode.
mentioned component swap - check in app, however specialized app did not indicate any errors.
sadly did not take a photo, may try to put it again
