Important safety note from Canyon: the Spectral:ON CF / CFR and Torque:ON CF models may have damage to the battery

Date for battery delivery 9th to 20th June. Nothing since the email. 20th slowly creeping up. Not holding my breath. Canyon seriously taking the p1ss.

Since we are well into June, when Canton said I'd receive my new battery, I called Canyon last week for an update.

Their reply:

"Battery Delivery Update - June, meaning that you can expect to take delivery of your new battery sometime in June (this month). Once the battery is closer to it's ship date, you will receive an email detailing the dates that you can expect to receive the new battery."

At this point I'll believe it when I see it!

Battery was supposed to arrive today, UPS sent me a message saying it will be delivered tomorrow. Right, well not holding my breathe, Absolute Shambles.....

Yeah got new bolts with it
Mine didn't, contacted them and they said I could use the original ones or they could send some more. So asked for some more to be sent. Also noticed that my headset had started to break due to lack of use, so got a new set as well. Have you had your refund yet? Still waiting on mine.
Has anyone else had their battery sent yet?

Rubber peeling from end of battery. Guess when its in the bike it won't be an issue but come on Canyon, you have made us wait almost a year and this is the shoddy crap your sending.... Never buying a canyon again!!!

Peeling rubber have been reported by german users. Some fixed it with glue.
Also that fitting (matching?) of battery to frame / threads is not very accurate and it is recommended to first insert the (new) bolts without battery to make sure threads are working smoothly and will not be damaged i.e. be careful when putting the screws in and doing the first turnings.

Canyon wrote me that my battery its on the way, they even gave me a FEDEX tracking number, hope to get it next week, but I will have to see

exactly what they wrote me, now I am not to sure, is this only to buy more time? I wont be surprise at all if it is

pretty sure my old battery is heading south. Loss of 30% of the bikes climbing power after 14 months of ownership, and 6000 miles and 800,000 feet in climbing. Last 3 rides bikes power is gone. Lucky battery is supposed to be here tomorrow

Another missed deadline by Canyon. After the last communication in March from Canyon promising my battery would arrive in June, once again Canyon has dropped the ball and failed to deliver. The entire battery recall debacle has been frustrating to say the least. What makes it even worse is the lack of communication from Canyon and the fact that every self-imposed deadline by Canyon has been missed!

It is extremely disappointing to have the battery problem exist in the first place, with the slow, painful wait for Canyon to make this right and deliver a replacement. Far worse is the failure by Canyon to communicate and provide updates! I am exasperated by Canyon's failure to meet their promises, and then no further updates are provided. I would expect that the bare minimum they could do when the fail to deliver my new battery would be to immediately notify me and provide an estimate of the new expected replacement date. Timely communication is no substitute for actually replacing the battery but it would demonstrate Canyon is making a strong effort to provide customer satisfaction to frustrated owners. You've failed miserably at this, Canyon. Do better!

239 days and counting since the recall

My battery came this morning in Ca, 6 buddies same bike, none have been notified yet that theirs is coming.

And no sign if that $90 a month for waiting, just the original $266 that came 6 months ago

FYI, the „final“ amount for compensation has been received by some german riders about 3-4 weeks after receipt of the new battery. It is really sad to see how Canyon is communicating and handling matters.
