Did this fix the tight bearing issue?Hi,
We're doing some tests on the Italian group.
The problem isn't the bearings themselves, but the seat where they sit.
If you remove the bearings from the idler, you'll see that the Endura ones also slide quite well, but once inserted, they completely seize up, as you said!
You should try reaming the bearing seat to widen it a few microns and then put the original bearings back in.
A guy here in Italy installed some ceramic bearings to test, but once inserted, they seized up... they slide better than the originals, but not as well as when they're not installed.
I'm assuming you mean the bearing seat inside the idler?
Did you change the bearings as well or just fix the tolerances?
