At least you break the MTB dirtbag trope and can say that your bike doesn't cost more than your vehicle.Depends on your local terrain.
Here we self shuttle BC's finest, I get by with a 150/170 e bike, but more travel would be nice for those "point and shoot" sections at unreasonable speeds. An e dread with a 160-170 rear end and a boxxer up front would make me very happy.
