Yeah if you're ever over in eastern oregon/boise area I'll show you some of the good trails around here. I just pedaled my dreadnought v2 around the driveway a little bit with a zeb on it, and the front end is definitely a bit more poppy and light, but I've also been on the ebike for the last 2 weeks so just all around it feels more poppy and light lol. It definitely takes a little more effort to pop around on the intend with the extra weight but its something I got used to quickly.

I also got an intend bandit for the next bike I'm getting, I might pop it on the ebike and see if the 35vs38 mm stanchion/weight difference makes any difference in poppiness or how planted the fork feels
Will do! I am hoping for a multi week trip ending up in Whistler next summer which would have me going through Oregon

Bandit is super interesting . It’s not usually in the discussed as an options when debating intends . Personally , I am just waiting for stock later this month to go flash 35. I want to keep some of the “trail bike” characteristics for this build , and running the f35 at 160mm might do the trick.

Totally unexpected today but I ran into another CorE in the wild while out riding, I asked if I could snap a quick pic just to show my buddy so he would believe me

I had avoided weighing my lite to date, but had the scale out today to just see.
As weighed lite s3, build kit 2 with following changes:
- Rear Schwable Radial albert gravity pro
- front I9 1/1 wheel with albert gravity pro 2.5 (weighed ~200grams more than stock wheel and exo assegai)
- mezzer pro fork
- added switchgrade
- swap to oneup v2 carbon bars (from alloy)
- one up clip pedals

Weight 48.8lbs
Not too surprised. Tires probably add 1.25-1.5lbs from stock, mezzer maybe ~0.5 lb.

Just got my S3 core 2 and weighed it. All stock with the exception of a 50mm stem. Weight with OneUp clip pedals is 23.67kg or 52lbs.

About what I expected.

My s2 core 3 with ht x3 pedals weighing 470 grams is 74. Kg exactly only non stock item is a dt ex 1700 front wheel with dt 350 hub and mm gravity radial tyre. Also fitted a water bottle cage made 200 grams

I should’ve weighed mine before changing all the parts but I’m happy with mine only being 52.8lb with a USD fork, coil, wireless dropper and gravity radials front and rear

Interesting. My S2 core 2 is 48.6 with the following aftermarket stuff, one up carbon bar, TR36 wheels, Tacky Chan/MM radial(both trail casing), e13 helix race alloy cranks(a little lighter than praxis cranks), RS lyrik/SD, X0 cassette, RF atlas pedals, Hope GR4 brakes. I think Forbidden's claimed 45.9lb weight for the lite is a size S1 frame because even with the smaller 600wh battery my S2 will weigh around 46.6lbs.

Anyway enough weight weenie talk. I'm selling my vivid if anybody is interested DM me but must be in the usa.

Hey yall. Picked up my teal S2 Druid Core build 2 last weekend and love the bike so far. Hate the Mavens though, wandering bite point worse than Shimano and way too heavy lever pull.

I had some TRP Evo Pros on the way that arrived on Friday, so I started the install. Forgot I'd have to drop the motor, but it was only two bolts and some cables.

Anyways, I got everything installed using the instructions here and pretty quickly noticed when cycling the suspension from fully compressed to full extension the hose is kinking. I've tried with TWO TRP hoses and it's looking like I might need a third now.

Has anyone else installed or had a shop install TRP brakes on their Druid without issues?

Update on this.

Here's a Sram Maven hose at a tight bend radius:

And here's a TRP hose:

I think the TRP hoses are just not going to be compatible with the cable routing design on these bikes. I've got an email conversation going with one of the Forbidden support guys so I'll update again if I get any tips from him.

Some good news, however, is that the TRP banjo fitting is nearly identical to the Sram Maven hose banjo fitting. They're both 6.5mm wide with a 6.0mm inner diameter. The O-ring counterbore size is slightly different, but I don't see any issue with using a TRP banjo bolt (it's longer but the same diameter with a slightly larger head) with the Sram banjo fitting and Sram O-rings. I think that's what I will try next.

Thanks for the reminder just checked mine and looks good enough for 150 miles. I installed hope brakes myself and it has a tiny bit of kink but it's working so....🤷‍♂️

Is anyone else having trouble changing the region with “the VPN trick”? Worked fine for my Amflow, not for my new Druid Core.

Worked fine on mine first attempt

Mine is set to the US, you don't get the Class 3 or whatever it's called option though but that's fine, 32kph is more than enough really and I rarely hit it anyway

I'm thinking about either using the Sram hose like I mentioned or picking up some Jagwire aftermarket hose at the suggestion of a friend, just in case the Sram hose changes the feel of the TRP brakes too much.

Just heard back from Forbidden, one of the guys runs Shimano BH-90 hose with his TRP DHR brakes on his Druid CorE. He suggested trying the Sram hose if it works because that's the one they did all of their testing with.

Do other systems create this issue? I have long been thinking of Lewis brakes but I gotta say these base model Mavens have performed pretty well up to this point. Certainly a notch above the Mt7s I had previously and once set up well with the correct pads the mt7s were pretty good much better than the saints they had replaced albeit with levers that were far too fragile. It's got me thinking how much these bikes and keep improving. The Zebs and Vivid also perform very well but always we want more. Human nature I guess

I was actually considering buying the Lewis brakes, but I am now concerned the metal braided hoses would have an issue not necessarily with kinking but just being able to make a small enough bend radius.

The Mavens certainly have enough power, but I don't like the feel of Sram brakes and have TRPs on my other bike so I would like to keep things consistent. I have had issues with the bleed on the Mavens producing really inconsistent wandering bite point, ended up pulling the levers to the handlebars a number of times.
I actually am swapping out the Zeb for a 2026 Fox 36 Factory that I found for half price, I am not a huge fan either of Rockshox forks and I figured I'd save a bit of weight by swapping to the 36.

DJI manual mentioned a nano sim card for the LED display panel. Does this mean user have to pay for data plan for sim card to connect display to the phone?
do you guys have sim card installed on your bike display panel?

Anyone else still waiting for a bike to arrive ? I've been waiting 7 Months
👋 3 months waiting here. Yesterday my lbs call me, the bike will arrive next Monday. After customs clearing sometime next week I’ll have it.
