Forbidden DreadNought E

If you are welding why have a floor that catches fire? Also if ya doing dirty stuff why have a floor traps dirt and grime?
this seems to me to be a clean mans garage that doesn't do any dirty or hot work.....

What am i missing?

I just cant think for a worse set up for both hot and dirty work.

Dont get me wrong. It clean and cool as fuck. Just doesn't look heavy workshop compatible.
There's usually shade from folks that haven't tried it ( just like forbidden's geo :p ).
If you're throwing stuff on to the floor while tig welding, you're doing it wrong.
And there's an advantage to the swisstrax "grid" tiles, in that spills and debris drop through it. One quick wipe with some paper towel and you continue working, no need to mop it up immediately. And then just pressure wash into the floor drain when the job is done. Or if just cutting/grinding debris, shop vac it up. The tiles hold stuff in place until you're ready to dispose of it essentially, but it doesn't contaminate your working surface (what your feet are touching).
There's a need to throw down a fire blanket when plasma cutting, but that's true of any floor, even bare polished concrete.
I'd not be hardfacing equipment implements in there or air arcing, but that's not what most people do in their garages either. Nor do I work on super dirty junk in there. Have a shop with an overhead gantry crane for those types of adventures.

Not discounting your personal experiences, but mine have been wildly (see what I did there?) different than your own. But the Wild does need a coil shock, due to its nearly 40% progression. An air shock will have lots of hydraulic lock, which will feel approximately like PK.

The new RS with the TQ40, which the new Avinox Wild is going to emulate, is noted for its extremely plush and DH focused rear suspension design (low Anti-squat) that is offset by the Neo rear shock.
You know, on second thought, the wild felt more like a vpp bike. Kind of more harsh around the sag point as well. Very similar to the crestline. It did wall up hard, but perhaps that was bottoming ?
Are you sure it's over 30% progression ?

It’s not that high. I think it’s around 27%.

Hey all , first post on EMTB, been an owner of a Druid muscle bike for a few years now, absolutely love the way the Forbidden’s ride!! Just picked up a T1 naught e S2 from my LBS here in Tahoe. Beyond hyped, I’ll report back after my first ride. 5’9 185lbs

It's really good, as is the arrival 170 I mentioned.
But you'll notice it more on things like multiple ledge drops, or moto style whoops, not necessarily single hits.
It's just an idiosyncrasy of the kinematics. Everything is a tradeoff and balancing act.

OT: Yah, I do lots of that sort of riding too. It's the plushest smooth bump eating suspension that I've ever ridden. But then I don't get to ride everything set up for me.

Here is the correct LR (30%, I had read once it was nearly 40% but clearly that was incorrect) from Avalanche's website. They just retuned my shock for the Wild and added a hint of mid-stroke support. I have (briefly) ridden Crestie's, a Norco HP bike, Sixfinity Yeti, etc. but I'm very picky about set up and only the Yeti felt really good.

I've got a couple hybrids and bombers from Craig, he does nice work. It's crazy that they're relatively old designs, and still outperform any off the shelf single crown offerings.
30% is pretty optimal for air.
20% is typically coil shock territory.
But there are some bikes (vpp 🤷‍♂️ ) that really benefit from coil, even in the 30% progression range. The acoustic dreadnought v2 is like that, air is horrible on it.
The yeti's six bar design was really good, probably the most "character" free rear end I've tried in recent years.
The e-dread is pretty decent on air, but I'm already eyeballing an ext coil for it. Just got to know...

Did you have this reversed?

I'd say 30% is pretty optimal for COIL;
and 20% is pretty optimal for AIR, in a long travel configuration.

In my experience the amount of travel (really the amount of time you have to shed off energy) is also a hugely important factor. For example, 30% & a coil on 170mm travel is excellent. But 30% on 130m travel (like my Smuggler) needs an air shock with some tokens for sure.

That's correct, sorry, not enough coffee this morning.
