Evening all,
I've just connected my 19 Comp to Mission Control. The bike hasn't been ridden for about a week, it popped up with all these errors

error 19 - gear ratio detected smaller or higher than mechanically possible values
error 35 - gear ratio detected smaller or higher than mechanically possible values
error 4 - stop pedalling for a few seconds (I'm not pedalling...)
error 5 - motor error
error 6 - motor error

Any ideas? Turning if off/on again after 30 seconds hasn't cleared them. Bog standard bike, no electrical or mechanical speed overrides installed.

Thanks

I have the same errors 2019 Levo, thought it was my mechanical speed tweak! Looks like it might be a software problem.

Nah, I'm very risk averse when stuff is in warranty after having a car 'chipped' a few years back which ended up costing me a grand for new injectors :ROFLMAO:.

I've emailed BikeScene so I guess I'll probably hear from them tomorrow. It costs me 20odd quid in diesel for a round trip to the shop though so I just wondered if anyone else could help in the meantime. (y)

I have the same error.

I had installed the LSS mechanical planetary gear mod. I thought it was causing the error, just removed it and ridden my bike. Same errors as you.

it would appear to be a software related error with the new mission control.

Sounds like the software is now smart enough to realise the cadence you are outputting doesn't make sense to the wheel speed.

I've not ridden my stock bike for a week - I read about the app update so I connected it up to see the new features and all the errors popped up - I haven't ridden it since either ??‍♂️

I'm wondering what is logged and saved on your phone and thats the thing.

The only change that's ever been made to mine was the dealer set the wheel size to 2000 when I picked it up ??
So the software is right! I believe the latest firmware updates and the latest version of the MC app are now detecting such mismatches and derestriction techniques. It does not appear that the software yet implements the Bosch Gen4 3 strikes and you are out motor control, but the mismatch is obviously now recorded within the firmware and could be used to invalidate a warranty claim. I believe you will need to get the wheel size reset to the correct value.

Same errors after Mission Control app update also. This has to be a bug with the app as everything was ok before update. Will see what the dealer can find out.

Specialised authorise a wheel diameter change to 2000 - if they’ve borked their own app then they can pay for my trip to the dealer ?

All - sorry that you've been seeing unexpected errors. Thanks for the info and name-check - I'll PM you separately to get serial numbers so that we can investigate ASAP.

Two upfront comments:
1) We've invested heavily over the last year in rider/retailer diagnostics that are there to help - see the app store review below for the kind of responses we've been aiming for. Agreed that these errors you're seeing aren't particularly helpful or expected - apologies - however if it's not stopping you riding, please just ignore them whilst we investigate.
2) The diagnostics messaging has been live for some months, however there are aspects that we haven't released yet and we're still testing behind the scenes - since these errors you've posted are still in engineering language rather than rider language it looks like something got released prematurely, but we'll chase this up ASAP.

Below image is when the rider diagnostics works as intended.

UPDATE:

Thanks to all that have posted. Early signs are that some errors noticed since the app release on the 4th Feb are 'ghost' errors, engineering are working on this now and we expect to resolve this in the next 24 hours. An app update will not be necessary, will confirm 7th Feb.

Would it help temporarily to reset errors by disconnecting the battery from the engine for a long time?

Evening all. BikeScene have taken a look at my bike and reflashed the firmware and updated the TCU to the new version. The errors are now gone. They also fitted the updated harness, my previous one was showing some damage.

A quick ride around and all is well again. Thanks to BikeScene for fitting me straight in ??

Incidentally, the Levo SL is LIGHT! Bloody amazing, if I wasn't such a fat knacker I'd be lusting after one. I picked up the Whyte RS-180 afterwards and that is a heavy beast.

Not as heavy as the Haibike NDURO 8.0 they had in though. I know the motor on that thing is amazing but the bike is absolutely gopping in the flesh. Incidentally, 98% battery in extreme mode would get you 19 miles apparently.

I'd love to have a go though!

UPDATE:

Ghost errors 4,5,6,19 & 35 should now be solved. An app bug triggered them without reason, we've hidden them and will resolve in the background with the next app release. Apologies to all that experienced them over the last 48 hrs, if anyone still has these errors numbers showing up without reason from 7th Feb onwards please post here.

The interesting side of this is the self diagnostics that you're implementing, it's a huge step forward and should help towards simpler and quicker problem resolution in the future - with your creo post as an example. Nice work team Spesh ! (I know - it seems like we mainly just like to moan and winge) :-)

Hi. I am still getting these errors when I go into diagnose and then error, it shows errors 6,5,4,35 & 19.

I've ridden in on my commute this morning in all modes and no errors have returned. @Deadagain51 have you had the TCU firmware update recently? I wonder if it's something to do with that.
