EP801 + new chainring size

Apologies if this has already been asked.

If the chainring on an EP801 drive unit is changed from 38t to 34t does this also need to be changed in the spec via the ETube software?

I cannot see how it would make any difference but would like to hear from anyone who has done it and whether you did or did not change it in etube.

No changes have to be made. It has nothing to do with the speed sensor. This one is on the back of the wheel ;-)

Don‘t know about the ep801 but on its predecessors the Chainring size can be changed in the Software. As far as i know its only used for the Walk Assist if Theres a Electric derailieur.
