EP8 noise (bearing?)

After 2 years, my EP8 has a kind of grinding when riding.

Removed and cleaned the pedals, cranks and chainring, no help so it comes from inside the motor.

Is it bearing noise?

edit: the motor gave in after 3 months of having this noise, no longer providing support.

You can open it and perform a post-mortem examination. Bets are:
Damaged Bearing
Lack of grease

But before that, talk to Shimano, sometimes they make a free courtesy replacement after warranty
