The problem of the 600 Wh Battery can be seen in the Velomotion Test. It is not delivering the current needed (not getting to peak Power) derates before the engine is doing and is not charging with the same Watts like the 800.

75nm-85nm update on Bosch gen4 was 2 years after motor release
In a much less competitive market.
I’m not saying it won’t happen - I hope it does. But if it’s real, it seems silly to hold out while DJI is eating their lunch.
Why should they use a different battery?
Also a 600 WH makes no sense with this power motor, still they do not have a range ex..

Don't over play DJIs impact yet. There is miniscule quantiy of Amflow bikes out there overall compared to say Bosch and DJI have a log way to go before they really make an impact. Reliability is not known and they are a complex beast.
Today DJI have stolen the naritive and peaked a lot of interest but don't mistake DJI for being the saviour of the EMTB world. also don't think DJI are not buying a lot of that noise as well. DJI have aot of money and free bikes, sponsorship and "benefits" go along way to buy views and interest.
DJI Vs Bosch is like swapping an evening with the devil for a night in the deep blue sea.
DJI is as nasty, corporatly greedy and at times dishonest as anyone out there if not not at times worse.
They will have areas where they are good like the derestriciton and performance but they are massively anti repair, hide issues and many times leave early adopters stranded with future products and updates.
Dji has the people talking and the headlines but that's all they have right now.

They just need to make the assist modes go eco, auto, trail then boost or at least configurable.
I'm finding I'm only using eco and auto. If I'm running along in auto and need a quick trail hit I've got to cycle past eco, not the end of the world but would make it more seemless.
Or even better yet being able to switch off a mode so I could go eco, auto then boost.

I agree eco should be at 1st position with auto as default but in 2nd position.
I've just been out on the bike for a quick check and user settings like region have not been changed. I panicked when I found the region change back door had been removed.
I think we need the ability to revert to earlier software versions if required, maybe it's already possible?

I am a little surprised they have locked this off. As I mentied before DJI have a long history of having to comply with various regulations however tend to leave a "back door" or work around comes to light.
Though it's not usually quite as easy as was what shown here originally. The method is usually in a way that means they have not left it obviously easy to upset regulators but doable for users who have some basic knowledge. Example a text file on an SD card with the No 1 in it or a modified DJI app that changes the region code.
It's very likely DJI will be handling region lock via the app so smartphone side will likely be the path in. I would hope this is not the total end of it but it may take a little time for people to start to take a look.
I am in close contact with some of the guys who have gone deep into the hacking of the DJI gear and released may of the back doors and mods and I would love to get Avinox into their hands however today that's not possible due to the cost right now. It will happen though eventually.

Seriously? Have you seen how many people are buying these things? The numbers will be significant, especially to Santa Cruz and Orbea I’m sure.
IMO, once other brands start using the Avinox system I don’t think AMflow will survive.
If they use the 600 WH Battery like Forbidden, Amflow will still have a bright future..

Are they queuing outside the AMFLOW stores ? Are Amflow shipping them in on 747s to meet demand ?
I'd also not believe everything bikeshops are saying with interest as well as they ain't going to say " oh no one is even asking about it".
Cut though the noise and look at how much actual user generated content is being posted on social media that is not reviews and sponsored content and it's minimal. It's a handful of videos and posts in the last few weeks.
Close to everything has been reviews that DJI have sponsored or bought.
Im not saying people are not incredibly interested in the bike and system and early adopters seem mostly happy but stop falling for the DJI hype train.
They are masters of marketing and building interest but that does not mean they are taking over anyone.
The amount of people even in the market for a £5k bike is not that large let alone what DJI is taking a slice of that.
I absolutely expect them to make an impact but it's not changing the world right now.

Replacing Love instead of hate on this post - actually owning and riding one, I'd say:
DJI didn't "steal" anything. They intentionally designed something totally superior and the industry is having a hard time swallowing. Get over it.
DJI is a great company, from my experience. Great drones and cameras at least. All high tech products have bugs and issues to start, that's normal. Get real.
DJI has more than "headlines," .....they actually have a made an ebike system that kicks ass. Seems you can't accept that. Maybe own and Ride one, before judging and posting hateful china trash like this.
True - no one knows yet about long term reliability, but I am happy to be a guinea pig. FYI - being a pig, dancing with the Devil - is so much fun. If there are serious design or quality issues, they will become known, eventually. I'm not too concerned.
Until then, and regardless - The Devil rules the World. This bike is beyond fun to ride. LOVE is in the air. The impact will be real and big unless others can design systems to compete.
Ya know, if I got the bike and felt is was just a little bit better than any ebike I've had....I'd agree that it's all just marketing hype... but I got it, I rode it.... its not. It simply blows everything else away. Hate all you want, it won't change that fact.

Not sure where your collecting your info from tbh but certainly in the UK that bikes selling much better than most others (both models) and if you actually go and ride one your see why.
I don’t think we will ever see the amount of sales on anything like we did in the Covid days but taking into account the current economic climate in the uk alone there selling bloody well ….. I’m mates with a few bike shop owners and workers who back this up
Could well be that Amflow bikes is solely a short term initial marketing exercise to create awareness of the motors, which is what DJI really wants to sell of course ...
It's a trend at a very peculiar moment for a very peculiar audience which is trail light/enduro or people who do not ride aggressively which is somehow people old enough to have tons of money and old enough to not send it too hard on trail.
That does not mean there is no exceptions.
As always and even more with all that media coverage, we should all agree on that DJI paid so much media, they were everywhere, it is the shiny kid in the block.
Bike is just good, great for some, at what it does and for sure shop are going to tell you they sell of lot of them to be able to sell a tons, this is also a perception that push people buying something when told it is a great choice as lots of them did the same.
As per volume, I agree that the market is collapsing, and it will be worst and worst, at least in Europe where we are poorer and poorer. We are not far in Europe to place huge taxes on everything that is not from our ground to avoid dying.

Ask anyone who’s actually ridden it or riding it, there’s probably a handful of people that would find its limit and that’s fair enough as it’s not being sold as a full on DH bike but most of the people making those comments don’t ride anywhere near that kind of level if there being honest….
Also if for some reason your buying a bike that you feel needs more for your level of riding then you would simply upgrade essential parts as always , ie these take 38’s and a coil no problem.
As for the weight ….. please show me anything bike related or car for that matter or anything performance related that isn’t better when it’s lighter …….

If one wants to make it more enduro / downhill oriented, with a 170 38 fork on it, Mullet configuration with the flip chip and DH tyres it absolutely can handle a lot of technical DH style trails no problem. I've been riding it a fair bit recently and its actually proper capable.

I think some of the feeling of flex out front comes from the stock bars and stem. The stem is pretty tiny and very light. I've been experimenting with different bars (Renthal / OneUp) and stems (Original, 42.5mm and a 50mm Burgtec) and feels a fair bit different.
I dont find flex to be an issue personally, however, the bike in my current build still isn't as quite as planted or doesn't feel quite as reassuring as something like the YT Decoy SN (despite them weighing a similar amount in my configuration).
The YT frame, weight distribution, as well as suspension design is very very good. Its a shame that the Fazua motor is no where near the DJI Avinox.
The reality is that Amflow was never sold/meant as a full on enduro bike - but it is definitely more capable than some might think.
Now put the DJI motor in something like this and take my money...

Couldn’t agree more Rob, I can’t understand how people are just repeating what some reviews have said without riding one themselves. I have done some crazy tech on Dartmoor along with occasional bikepark sessions on mine and had zero issues with the bike’s capabilities.
