Your right there the one I tried yesterday felt ok . It belongs to a 6' 4" lad so be a xl I presume. I have a medium Levo I'm 5'8" . Usually this lads bike makes me shake my head especially when the seat is up but no it was ok.

I was comparing the dimensions with my medium gen2 levo, and seems the Amflow is slightly larger overall.

I did all this with the charts but in reality the bikes 100% come up smaller than the charts say , genuinely insane never seen a large that physically looks and is so small in the flesh I was 100% convinced it was a medium

If you’re on the cusp you need to size up I would say 186cm for me and I made the large look like a jump bike lol

I would usually say that I would prefer something slightly too small however if a bike is too small, it becomes a problem for me to ride correctly whereas if something is slightly bigger than I would normally have I can adapt to that and make it work for me definitely sizing up if you are on the cusp With these bikes of the way to goHad to google in the cusp. I don't know what would be worst a bike that is a smidgen too big or one that is a smidgen too small?
Well the two lads I know that have them they would probably be a large and a Xl . L had motor out yesterday speed sensor issues he thinks or I would have tried that. Never know another year I could be tempted if it lives up to a winter in my area. One is on motor number 3 on a Santa Cruz 18 months old other on number 2.

I've seen a few comments about the L and XL feeling smaller than expected but I've seen a lot of reports of the M size being spot on.
My Med Amflow is slightly larger than my Med Rise on paper and does actually feel slightly larger in real life, it fits me perfectly, so I'm glad I didn't size up.

Agree with you. My Trek Fuel EX was ML which fitted me perfectly but the 2022 alloy Trek Rails came only in M and L. In the end bought size L and adjusted the cockpit to get it to fit nicely. My wife has a 2022 alloy Trek Rail size M which is definitely too small for me.
I haven't tried much other ebikes to be honest. When I went to collect levo dealer said try large if you want but I didn't and happy enough with medium. I'm easy pleased and don't faff about too much or just an all round expert i don't even need tubeless I only get one flat a year . Or am I just a lazy old pensioner

1st manufacturers often aren't accurate with their frame dimensions. Not saying this is the case with Amflow, but it's definitely a thing.
2nd, regarding seated fit, the STA is slacker on the Levo and the HTA steeper, both contributing to making the distance from the seat to the bars longer.

I saw a medium and large today next to each other and it was nearly impossible to pick them apart , forget the charts on the large and XL you need to see it and get on it for size , for me XL felt like a proper large but large feels and looks like a medium
I am 6ft / 180cm and went with XL and it feels perfect.
My last e-MTB was Rocky Mountain altitude powerplay in Large and always felt a bit cramped to me. I did have heaps of issues with having extremely sore bum from the saddle on the RM and tried 4 different saddles, change angles etc, with the same issue. Last saddle was the Ergon e-MTB specific saddle and still had heaps of issues with pain for days after a ride.
Interestingly i have this same Ergon e-MTB saddle on the Amflow XL and have not had any issues with saddle soreness! So good, love the Amflow.

I'm 177cm tall. But my point was more that the Amflow medium is directly comparable to the Orbea Rise medium, sizewise.
I've never heard/ read any comments that the Orbea rise medium is undersized.

I don’t think the medium is a problem, it’s the large and extra large just coming up much smaller in real life than the charts show , large and medium looks almost identical next to each other XL is like a generous large

Not many people fancy that chute at 4.00, i know i've certainly not considered it. Was one of my most nervous moments watching my boy ride that... nice job !

To me it’s not that hard to believe, I’ve seen it with a fair few bikes over time.
It both looks and is extremely small for a large measured with my own tape along side a large SC Vala it comes up shorter and smaller both on the tape and physically when you sit on it.
Not a problem at the end of the day if it fits you, but 100% if your someone that’s in between sizes you need to try it and if your on the edge then I would recommend to size up
