I found a file on thingyverse and printed a design out someone had done on there.

One option for you is to put it on myminifactory and charge for the download. You cant stop it being reproduced and sold after that but at least your getting something for your time!

The one i printed was for mine and a mates bike, Excuse the red its the only flexible filament i had. I will be getting some black to do one for my bike but from the rides we have done since then it seems to work mint!

That looks much neater than other options i have seen. Does it not rub on the linkeage when it pivots up an down though? I am interested as have recently had a 2021 Rail.

I’ve been using a bit of adhesive neoprene stuck only to the chainstay. Only done a few hundred miles, But it’s not doing too bad.

Let me get back off holiday and I’ll look into it, For anyone who designs files and puts them on thingyverse I won’t do it to make any money because that’s not right IMO ?
Only if it’s possible, if I had a 3D Printer I’d attempt it myself! Thanks ?

Quick review of Link’s protector.
Fitted to a 9.8 size large. Dead easy to fit using just one cable tie. Looks pretty discreet really which is what I wanted. It looks like it sits too high but without taking my spring off I guess it’s to allow the suspension travel.
You can see it does it’s job with the bulk of the muck, once I put my winter mudguards on it should be even better.
I can see why people might think it’s a bit pricey but I didn’t want to mess around cutting stuff up etc and it seems to do its job pretty good while looking reasonably good?
Hopefully you can see it in my crappy photos.

So as a thread revival i did mange to print this and get it fitted to my bike,

I also have had a bit of a drama since October so havent posted it in here. Split up with the now ex mrs who is taking the van and the dog and i now need to find a massive mortgage to buy her out! - Ah well onwards and upwards!

I have listed these in my own Etsy shop now and im gonna put a 10% discount code on for anyone on here that wants to buy one!

I've made these if anyone is interested. They work a treat... pics attached showing..

I've tried a few versions to protect this area and main issue I found was how the protection flap did not move with the pivot leaving a gap so debris still got into the area.

This design uses a durable sturdy rubber that flexes with the pivot yet maintains position to protect this area..

Available on ebay £7.50....

Just curious, how did so much debris accumulate in the lower pivot area? How’d it get past the rear fender?…or maybe that’s not a fender. Horse pasture?
Anyways, a perfectly sized rock in the lower pivot frame sucks. It’s been a show-stopper when it happens.
