Levo Gen 3 Cascade Link 2022+ Levo Long Shock Kit

Hi @BikeBert ,

I know I reply to an old post, but you summarized the spring rates extensively.
I ordered a Cascade Long Link to my Levo Gen3, and a Fox DHX2 2026 (With the updated shaft). Now I`m looking for the correct spring rate. You mentioned that your weight is 85kg. Is this your ready to ride weight with all riding gear? I”m 85kg without my riding gear. I`m thinking between the 500 and the 550 and the Cane Creek 500-610 progressive spring. Did the 502 lbs/in spring work for you? Did you tried any progressive spring?

Yes, 502 lbs/in worked great for me and I’m still riding it on my Öhlins TTX22 M.2.

For reference, my 85 kg is fully ready to ride, including helmet, backpack, tools, and water. With the 502 lbs/in spring I’m right around 29% SAG, and the rear suspension feels buttery smooth and very supple, with plenty of support once it gets deeper in the travel. No harshness, no dead feeling.

I did not end up running a progressive spring. With the Cascade link and the linear 502 lbs/in coil, the bike already feels well balanced for my riding and honestly I don’t feel the need to change anything right now.

If you’re 85 kg without gear, I’d personally start closer to 500 lbs/in rather than 550. Based on my experience, 550 was way too firm.
Hope that helps.

Love everything about mine. View attachment 172279
I have the same Levo (Obsidian). I'm trying to find out what coil shocks don't have clearance issues with the S5 comp carbon (2023; gen 3). Are you on an S5?

Finally I got the 500 lb/in spring. The SAG is 29-30%. Feels perfect on a fast test ride. I'm waiting for the bikepark season begins. I hope that the 500 lb/in spring will be support my weight enough not to bottom out hard on bikepark laps.
