Bosch Chainring

I have established I need a new drive train.

Cassette, chain and chainwheel.

I have no problem sourcing the cassette and chain but my entry level Cube ( Reaction Pro) has a 38T steel chainring. I have ordered a new one from my lbs but they have quoted 8 weeks delivery. I have found comparable sizes but they are all aluminium.

Does anyone know if an aluminium one is suitable on a Bosch gen 4 motor.
