Bafang Display Reading 99.9mph - error

I keep getting an intermittent fault where the display will show the speed jumping up to 99.9mph. Anyone else had the issue and know how to solve it?

Which motor are you using? I.e. M400, M500, M600, M620, M420 etc.

Whilst the speed sensor remains pretty much universal, each motor 'can' experience a 1sec lag in terms of detecting the magnet on the spoke.

Open the gap up between the wheel magnet and sensor, mines about 12mm and works fine.

Amusingly my top speed is 320mph ?

personally i have solved this problem by replacing the stainless steel sensor fixation screw, by an other in aluminium
