Avinox launch 1500w M2S motor and cheaper M2 motor

Lots of marketing BS that needs to be put on side.

There is a power / torque limit for the older batteries with M2s that only one reviewer mentioned.

700wh gets full power. Not sure if the 800wh removeable one also gets peak 1500w or 1300w.

Nobody mentioned it specifically.
you sure?

Here you go

Apart from the Atherton 2900m elevation, has anyone seen real-world figures on how much climbing you can get from the 700 and 800 batteries using the new motors?

Holy sheet... they should have dribbled this release to us, we have Amflow, Atherton, Pivot... and all the rest, all at once, released at the same time.

I am spinning on YT, dont know what to watch... most have the same info but what a release of bikes. Its like Christmas day for eebers

EDIT: Except other motor makers, for them its doomsday.

Apparently there are 60 OEM partners so that suggests there's even more bikes to come as well...

Well, I have just updated the Amflow ride app and guess what, now has navigation option ! Just added a GPX to test and looks good - haven't actually tried it yet but the option is now there.
i'd love to see a screenshot of that. especially if its turn by turn or a full on map?

Thank you, Sir!

So the removeable 800wh seems to be using the new batteries that dont limit the power.

I thought it was a joke someone made with AI!
so we do have the dual battery available - kind of RE!

1400wh is kind of too much and it looks ugly.
1000wh single internal could be the sweetspot but one can never be fully happy

I heard 80, and they want to sell half a million motors a year!

I think that needs some context, there are some 40 million e-bikes sold every year.

It could be a significant chunk of the emtb market though, but there are according to google some 250-500 e-mountainbike brands out there.

If they got even one of the ‘big 3’ by volume bike brands though then they’d be doing very well, Trek, Giant or Specialized.

I imagine if they could snag the latter, world domination would ensue. 😉

@Rob Rides EMTB so is the base M2 pretty quiet? I definitely don't need the power or 100g of weight saving, but if is rattles a lot I would be put off.

The M1 amflow PL I tested didn't really rattle so I'm guessing the M2 at worst is as loud as a "good" M1.

Definitely quieter. Actually I weighed the m2 lighter than the M2s!

Tbh it's a bit disappointing that the new non-removable battery is smaller than the previous 800Wh one and that the power output is limited on the older fixed batteries... I've seen some rumors about a new 900Wh+ battery coming out, is there any new information about that?

You can still get the old 800wh battery with the M2S. You just need to choose a bike manufacturer that offers it. My Teewing is coming with that. But you do loose the 1500 watts peak, and only get 1300 watts.

Frankly, I'd be much less interested in that +200 watts enabled by the new battery than in having a more future-proof battery tech with the new cells, which could potentially also unlock faster charging in the future., less degradation, etc. 1300W is already overkill, I'd much rather have a 900Wh+ battery in the format of the older 800Wh one which the rumors were about...

Each to their own. I prefer the 800wh battery, because I have the same in my Amflow. Leaving the possibility to get the 600wh as a lightweight spare. And faster charging and discharging will degrade a battery far quicker than anything else.

my lucky day was today. 1 month ago i ordered my first full suspension emtb - a basic avinox m1 ebike from a local czech manufacturer crussis .just got a confirmation from my bike shop that it will be delivered with an m2S motor instead of the m1 next month. so happy🥳. if you are waiting for your avinox m1 ebike to arrive please check with your bike shop what motor u will get . u might get a nice suprise.
