I’m running 180 up front with the rear chip in high. It’s certainly a little bit less willing to lean in than before but overall the package is better suited for the riding I enjoy. My times have only gotten better regardless of how it felt ;-)
It’s also something you get used to dealing with. I don’t think you will really notice a difference with 170 upfront, and If you do you can always run a little more sag on the forks and gain a plusher ride too while keeping the geometry very close to stock.
Yes, only because the forks i wanted were only available in 170. difference is barely noticeable - flat corners feel marginally worse to turn in but i do wonder if its probably more of a confirmation bias thing going on in my head, not convinced i’d notice if it were a blind test.....
