On Monday morning, my other bike dealer (not my Orbea dealer), who had just returned from a major multi-brand bike trade show in the Netherlands, told me about rumors circulating at the show that Avinox is unhappy with certain aspects of Orbea’s restrictions on its motor.
Rumor has it that Avinox has apparently prohibited Orbea from altering the default settings of the Avinox motor so fundamentally that RS-Tune must be used even with all individual user settings, and they are now demanding that Orbea also allow the original Standard Avinox motor tune in all Wild LT models, across the board and in its entirety.
Apparently, there’s quite a bit of friction over this - and an update is likely coming soon.
