2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

I think you might be mistaken there. On the Orbea website it shows the M10 comes with the "Orbea system controller remote" and the Team version comes with the "Orbea system controller with eDropper remote". The M20 shown coming with the Avinox BC100 remote.
You might be right. I didn't notice that. That would almost mean that Orbea has made two different controllers—one with and one without the side button for the e-dropper. There aren't any pictures of that kind of remote on the website yet—or have you seen any?

Looks like there's a version of the controller without the dropper lever.

This quite helpful, I think the route to get the spec I want is start with the m-team, remove electronic dropper and splitter, fit dropper of my choice, connect rear mech cable to motor, remove rs controller and splitter, fit a good upper headset cup and bars/stem of my choice, get an avinox controller. Looks like that would work.

As suspected-Orbea appears to have uniquely decided to limit their Avinox motor to Class 1. What a jerkoff move! This is a deal breaker; so although I was seriously planning to order a Wild LT, I won’t be spending my money on a handicapped M2S.

Orbea as a company is now on my shit list. They’ll never see a dime from me.

Is that them directly? I mean they probably won’t tell you if/how to derestrict it. They’re selling it as class I as most manufacturers are.

I ride roads from my house to the trail and I think it’s crucial and way more safe to be able to keep up with traffic. I’d imagine there will be a work-around.

That's the response from a Orbea dealer in the US. To my knowledge, only Orbea restricts their Avinox motor to Class 1 in the USA. No other manufacturer selling Avinox powered bikes in the US has locked out Class 3 that i know of. Can't wait to watch US buyers react to learning that Orbea chose to add an additional limitation to their Wild LT. It's going to be entertaining. 🍿

Please consider my earlier praise of Orbea's Wild LT rescinded.

Has anyone actually received their Wild and can confirm this? I really like that feature for riding to the trails.

As any weights been documented?

This might be a bike I that could fit the missis. Get the size small, spec mullet and 600wh battery, swap out the 38 to a lyric or 36, juice it up with light wheels and -5mm reach adjust and could very well be a light weight full power stormer for my vertically challenged missis. I would be aiming for sub 20kg.

Hi, I’m super confused, I thought the Orbea Wild LT M10 came with di2 - and I saw it on the website a few days ago as well as on loads of the release infos. See pic.
However on the website now, it doesn’t mention di2 and I dk how to check - I’ve googled and the drive train it lists appears to be mechanical.

Can anyone confirm or help me?

On Monday morning, my other bike dealer (not my Orbea dealer), who had just returned from a major multi-brand bike trade show in the Netherlands, told me about rumors circulating at the show that Avinox is unhappy with certain aspects of Orbea’s restrictions on its motor.

Rumor has it that Avinox has apparently prohibited Orbea from altering the default settings of the Avinox motor so fundamentally that RS-Tune must be used even with all individual user settings, and they are now demanding that Orbea also allow the original Standard Avinox motor tune in all Wild LT models, across the board and in its entirety.

Apparently, there’s quite a bit of friction over this - and an update is likely coming soon. 😉

Really need some clarity around this. The fact you can create a custom profile to "access the full 1300 watts" is leading me to assume that (in countries where it's allowed) we'd be able to access class 3 of the motor. I'd think it's one of the reasons Avinox is dominating..? I as well preordered assuming I could use class 3 for riding to the trail.

Orbea chose to lock out Class 3 and thus assist is limited to 20 mph with the RS Avinox. Even here in the US.

It looks like a standard XT (mechanical), and the XTR brakes are optional.

I’d take that rumour with a good dose of salt, I can’t see how Orbea would have been able to so fundamentally alter the low level firmware/behaviour of the motor without the blessing of Avinox.

This is a new rodeo for DJI, developing motors for e-bikes means they’re now a component supplier, it’s not the vertically integrated sandpit they’ve been used to with drones and action cameras etc.

Yeah, but like.. theres a way around the restriction right?? there's gotta be. (me huffing copium)

There’s a de-restriction section in the forum you might want to take a look at, it’s not supposed to be discussed elsewhere, but Avinox seems to get a free pass here nowadays.

Probably because lots of people are doing it and it’s one of the selling points of the motor/system…

That said, not sure whether Orbea have locked down the geo hack along with their other firmware level changes.
