2026 Santacruz Bullit Owners - Setup - Tricks - Discussion

I recently sold my Vala XO and am now strongly considering a bullit to replace it. Vala was an awesome bike but did feel nervous in some steep and chunk. Does the bullit seem like its a good fit? Does it retain any of the poppiness that the vala has?
The only thing feeling nervous in steep and chunk is me. The Bullit is in its happy place. Can’t speak to poppiness compared to the Vala.

Can’t speak to the Vala, but wouldn’t call it poppy as such, if there is a lip or feature the bike is happy to get in the air, and can pop it off smaller stuff with moderate effort. Loves steep and chunky trails. I run low mode and high progression which feels best to me.

Anyone switched to Ohlins suspension, I've got some forks and a air shock heading me way so curious about anyone having any experience on their Bullit. Cheers.
Hey, I’m at full Ohlins, great suspension, but patience and experience is required for a correct set up, fox is much “user friendly” but correctly adjusted Ohlins is much better as for me. Fox feels “stupid” after it. IMG_9089.webp

Thanks for the reply...I set up my TTX Air shock last week and its really good. M3 forks arrive Monday so looking forward to trying them out. The damping is superb on the shock and reality shines a light on how compromised the entry level Fox damper is on the forks.

I’ve got ttx air too, great shox, but highly recommend thinking about switching to Ohlins coil, its mindblowing)
M3 forks are similar to m2 forks, the difference is in spacer in negative chamber, which u have to remove on your own in M2, so if U find a good deal on M2 - take it. In Ohlins forks it’s difficult to set up pressure in cameras which will suit u, cause their manual numbers work for nobody :)) and the point is to find that balance between plush/bottoming out according to your ride style. I also installed 180 travel upgrade, its much cheaper and easier to change Ohlins forks travel than others.

I own a Vala X0 AXS build in size M and there the serial number contains ....VA1MDCC....
Thank you for your reply.

I’ve emailed said shop a firm email stating my rights etc etc and see what they come back with.

Balls in their court, so to speak.

I got the m3 for cheaper than the m2, so all good there...the m3 does have a few other nice tweaks too, I just wish they had kept the matte finish! Rear shock has taken quite a bit of messing to set up, and the recommended pressures are way too low for how I ride, so expecting the same challenges with the fork. At least they are a starting point. Will post some feedback once I've got it dialled in. Appreciate the advice 👍

The bullit comes with rear 27.5 x 2.5 minion dhr 2. Couldn't find 2.5 at the time, so I bought a 2.4 and I think I sense a little less traction than the 2.5 (maybe). I kept with the 2.5 Assegai in front. I do climbing in loose rocks at times.

Curious if others have gone to a different rear tire than the dhr 2 ?

Just after some help please guys, owners of a CC frame…

Does the serial number for the frame contain “CC” after the confirmed size of the frame?

Purchased an XO AXS build (CC Frame) from a legit bike shop and I’m questioning whether or not it is actually CC.

Cheers.
I thought the easy way to tell the difference between CC and non CC was that the CC frames don't offer cable routing for a rear derailleur.
