2026 Giant Reign E+ Megathread

yes, new features are implemented: E-lock, and bike tracking by IOS find my.
Motor tune adjust is the same as previous version: Assist %, torque and launch control.
overrun not possible to set-up.

For this bike you can also set the fields and screens for bike display Ride Control Lux, and set the tyre checker.
That sounds a bit disappointing, I understand maybe the e-lock and tracking are useful for people not able to store the bike inside, I guess there is a market for that, although I definitely miss other riding ebike related features...I guess there is hope as Giant did update the app of the current Reign with additional features, although I wish they would communicate something like that in advance, that would make a purchase decision easier.

This product launch is so disapointing.

Almost no reviews out, no demonstration of the 48V efficiency, no spare 560WH battery available and inventory is very limited.

anyone have one yet? the LBS had sold 5 already when i was there a couple weeks ago and had 2 built up on the floor. an e1 and e2. was hoping they would have an xl to throw a leg over but they said not until late winter/early spring before the rest of the inventory becomes available. i'll be putting my 22 e1 up for sale in the new year and getting a 26.

1500M being “sensible” is not a huge amount I said it would not be much better than my old 625 batteries reign and it’s not, it’s a real shame they could not get the 800 in there.
1500 is great for the size battery. Whack the extender on if you need more. Bigger batteries will be coming out for it in time

Yea it’s great for the size but I want to do 1500 in turbo then have a sandwich swap the battery and go out again, i have ended up on a specialised after years with giant I have 2 840 batteries

Fair enough. Ive never been or no anyone that's gets though that much battery in a ride 🤣 1500 would cover most my rides. If not a second for the rare occasions

1500 is a light day for us we just session DH trails and the bikes get us to the top relatively fresh for next run some of the fit younger guys can cope with smaller batteries but not many of them 🤣 I know quite a few people that ride like this but we are still probably in the minority, shame really as IMO it’s what e-bikes are for 😁

Ah, ok. I do that on mine. I can get 4500ft on my 600wh. Enough for me. Arms are done in by then bouncing off rocks 🤣

Best day so far 8500 ft at BPW on my 22 Reign was not able to use turbo all day and had charge one battery in the car while riding on the other to get that it’s easy to get to the car there. My new Levo can probably do that on turbo with a bit of shuttle mode active just the 2 batteries.

Dh bike for uplift days. Bugger riding up 🤣

Was there any kind of confirmation on a larger capacity battery for this bike ?

This morning Giant just released the new 2027 Stance E+ with the new ''Syncdrive Pro3X'' motor with 100Nm of torque which is more than their flagship Reign E+ eMTB sitting at 90Nm.

Color me confused.

Trance or Stance? I've just had a quick search and can't find any info on this mysterious new bike but I would expect that a new Trance might be imminent based on stock levels of the existing Trance and hints that I've heard through the bike trade.

Sorry, I wrote ''Strance'' by mistake when I meant Stance.

Here's the bike on the Canadian website :

With 140/150mm travel that new Stance has moved quite into Trance territory.
Agreed. I'm not sure what "Flexpoint" suspension is but the old Stance didn't have Maestro iirc. Maybe a new Trance will be a carbon only, lighter weight evolution of this new Stance?

Ooh, interesting! Surely there's a new Trance coming as well? 🤔
There's no sign of a new Trance at the moment, but the Stance has largely taken the place of the Trance, from a travel and equipment perspective.
It's an interesting spec and capability bump for the Stance.
Looks great, too - especially in the e+0 spec.
Would be great to give one a ride and see what they're like.

Something is coming pretty soon to slot between the Reign E+ and Stance E+, but you will not not hear about it until it's being released.

I still believe Giant is cooked if they continue to use that 90Nm motor along with the 560wh. This thread is almost completely dead when you compare to the launch of the 2022 Reign E+ for those who can remember.

The Reign E+ 2022 was a “jack of all trades” bike, great geometry good motor and battery. I’m still riding mine after 6,297km. I was eagerly waiting for the new one which this time is more a “one trick pony” dh e-bike. I think Giant is going in the right direction with the recent Stance geo and options, hope the new Trance fits that “regular Joe” category when it gets out. 😎

Looking at the new stance specs is compatible with 625 and 800wh batteries, this means is still 36V system, correct? so i can use the old Trance battery, correct?
I hope in a new Trance but also Stance is a valid alternative for me

Seems the only 48V bike is the new Reign E+, all others still 36V. What's confusing is they seem to have the same motor (SyncDrive Pro 3 vs SyncDrive Pro 3X)

Maybe this syncdrive pro3x is the same pwx-4 used on Raymon bike, both have 100nm
I'm running my trance 2019 and just today i made a full bearing motor replacement after 18000km , but i'm looking for a new one

New Syncdrive Pro 3X is still 36V.

The Syncdrive Pro 3 48V motor on the Reign E+ is for sure 100Nm capable, might just be an efficiency preference to not burn that small 560wh too quickly and get complaints from customers that are not tuning down the power with the app for better range.

I was told the new bike that will release between the Reign E+ and the Stance E+ will not be under the Trance name, it'll be a new name which is making sense if the bike is leaning more on the all mountain/enduro side.

The Syncdrive Pro3X is also a 48V motor, basically the same as the Pro3 just tuned with a bit more torque and faster response. Reads like really nice motor.

This article is wrong, Pro 3X is still 36V using the old ecosystem of 36V batteries, charger & remote control/screen.

Go look at the specs of the Stance E+ on their website it's all ''old gen'' 36V stuff while the new Reign E+ is running 48V and is clearly specified in the specs.

Yep you are correct, my mistake...should have known right away seeing the 625Wh and 800Wh pack in the article ✌️
