I re-weighed the bike today, complete as pictured previously at 51.8. total complete, meaning that by swapping out the 840 W battery w/ the future 600 w battery , a savings if 2.2 lbs, i can get it down to 49.6 lbs w/ Fox 38 fork. I will be upgrading, however to the new Fox Podium inverted fork later this week, which is rumored to add .75 lbs over the current Fox 38 fork but offer superior handling and plushness. A worthy upgrade, though pricey at $1835 discounted cost.@singletrackminded Lets say that your wheelset is cca 1,5kg and minus/plus the bits you describe would get us to 22,2kg compared to my build, I guess I exaggerated with some weights on my build, your other parts are lighter or your scale was a bit off(cca 0,5 lbs).
You are running a Fox 36 right? Cause otherwise is 48,2lbs really possible.
51.8 I think is a great weight. That’s about my gen3 weight with a 700wh battery. If I can get the bike to that weight with a 840wh that mint. There’s been a few issues with the podium already. Apparently when you torque the axle bolts it causes the legs to twist and binds the fork up. A few well known suspension shops have posted videos of it, one shop had a really good video showing the leg twist.I'd love to see a comparison with the Push Nine.One since they are pretty comparable in price. Sadly it's two ultra high end rare forks, so there isn't much out there.

True, I think the bigger benefit of that is that if you have a solid wireless dropper in the smaller 31,9 size you can easily swap it between different bikesYou can also save weight by using a 31.9 dropper with a shim rather than a 34mm dropper.
I don’t think it can damage the frame as the gen3 sworks was using a 31mm dropper for a long time with a ship as the axs reverb did not come in a 34. So I sure it’s safe.

Tires 1290g+1240g = 2530g

Luna's (XC Build) 20,8kg + missing fr. br. hose(say 100g)=20,9 kg, remove XC pedals = 20,7 kg
Maxxis Rekon(890g+840)1730g = - 800g
Fox 36 2000g = - 400g
XC Carbon Wheelset 1,480g = - 300g
Carbon Seatpost 》200g = - 600g
Remove(?)SWAT storage/tool -50g
XTR brakes 560g = - 150g
XC Light Aliexpres Rotors 220g = - 200g
Total weight savings of: 2,50 kg
23,7 kg - 2,5 kg = 21,2 kg
There is still 0,5kg difference to his stated build, but it think that could be due to the facts that the new bikes are being sold with tubes(300g easy) and that he used an even lighter wheelset(the extra 200g) as choosen by me for the comparison.
It is interesting to see what is possible with his build. For his use case it is most probably useable, for me personally the rotors and tires are a big no go on an emtb with a 4kg battery up front, for my use case they wouldn't survive very long and surely lack performance downhill.
Now stick the 600Wh in there and you are at 19,7kg...just shy of the festival showroom suspicious 19,6kg S-Works.
