Super nice eBike!
Do you think it has a removable or fixed battery? I can't understand from the downtube...

Battery is removable. Motor is fixed, unlike the Ride 50/Evation system.

Gordon

Hi Gordon. The Ride 60 system has an internal fixed battery option and I'm pretty sure that's the route Pivot have gone with the Shuttle SL has the internal battery as I can't see a shut line for the battery on the down tube. I wonder if that's why it looks so slim compared to the other bikes with Ride 60.

The Transition with the same system isn't available until spring 23, so could be similar unless Pivot were ahead of the game .
You’re probably right, I’ll more than likely end up on FF bike. I’m wanting something sooner rather than later. I was trying to wait for the new Levo SL but it’s been pushed back to September’ish. The new Trek has been pushed too…I’ve got money burning a hole in my pocket!

I think the Trek is also available September.

Hopefully this is the giddyup that Specialized need to release the new SL. Bring on more competition!
I know! I was all set to buy a Kenevo SL until I rode the Rise. If the KSL had the power of the Rise I would have bought it. Just sucks for those people that bought a KSL, hopefully Specialized will offer some kind of update other than buying a whole new bike.

These super lights needs to be sub-40 lbs on a large with a piggy back shock and aluminum wheel with at least exo+ casing tires.
else there's no point cause the rise hydro is around 45lbs with a 540w battery and equal amount of 60nm power.

Considering enduro bikes with at setup like what you've described are 33-36lbs, I'm not sure how you expect an ebike to get down to those weights with a battery and motor. At least not one that's designed for more than aggressive trail riding.

I think the new upcoming Transition relay will hit the sweet spot if it's in that 42-46lb range. I've sold a few alloy Rises at the shop I work at and I'm not sure I would want to ride one on the same aggressive trails I ride enduro bikes on.

IMO 42 to 46 would not be super light! SL should be < 38. It could be that you should not expect a SL enduro until there is upgraded battery technology. I have a carbon Rise and am satisfied that it is a light trail/all mountain SL at 38 ponds without the extender. I am hoping the Pivot Shuttle SL will beat that but who knows.

Especially impressed with the full immersion test in a beaker of water. Obviously if the battery is removable water ingress there will also be an issue.

I have a 2018 commencal meta power which is a heavy beastie as well as a pivot 429. A pivot version of this motor should be pretty nuke proof.

What's the most I would pay for this upcoming bike ???

If it's a 2 yr warranty , my max is 9k. If a 5 year warranty more. Plus I would buy a second batt just in case.

They claim or pose this as a German engineered durable item...if so prove it with a 7 year motor and 4 year or 10,000 miles warrenty..this ain't an iphone.

They might not have to give a lengthy warranty since they anticipate high demand and limited supply so they can sell them regardless. And at top price. Specialized only extended their warranty on the Brose motor after they were forced to by so many failures.
