2023 Orbea Wild

If you choose a Carbon View Colour, you cannot choose a secondary colour.

On some bikes it seems to be black, on others its painted. I talked to the guy with the black swingarm frame and he was a bit disappointed that the swingarm is black. In myO is it is clearly painted in Carbon View.

Edit: Other example. Two Bikes in Carbon Raw Gloss. One with a matte black swingarm, one with a glossy Carbon View paint. Is it possible that there are two versions, one in carbon and one in aluminium, depending on the model?

I have just ordered a Rise M team model 2023, with myo program, same color red wine Carbon view Matt. No possibility to have the rear suspension link in the same frame color? Maybe it’s not possible with the new rise to choose. The same for the wheels MC32 LTD, normally you can choose an additional color for the rims, but not possible with the myo configurator.
I contacted Orbea for more information, but don’t know if I’ll get an answer?

Water problems:
I just serviced my Wild M10 2023 and turned it upside down...nearly half a bottle of water came out from stem.
It seems like water stored in the upper frame and it pours out via Bosch System Controller.

I took it out and tries do dry it off...

Think its gonna be some major electrical issues regarding this if its not fixed...
My guess is that when Im cleaning the Wild waterhose both the stem and controller area is not sealed enough..

Will warranty cover this due "bad" design of stem and upp part of the frame?

From what I´ve seen, the frame integrated system controller doesn´t seem to come with a gasket. If that is the case I would definitively make my own gasket for it or use a silicone sealant between it and the frame.

Where the cables enter through the headset maybe look for the silicone plugs not being seated properly and that the unused holes are plugged.

Best looking one so far 😍 I'm assuming you're fork crown clears the underside of your downtube seeing as you've fitted your own stem/removed the knokblock feature??

That's some spec, did you get it as a frame only option or did you spend a day ripping all the standard stuff off? (Normally what I do)
Those bars look interesting, I like the back sweep, it may be useful for me coming back from injury to try something like that?

Unfortunately Orbea doesn't sell the Wild as a frame only option. Had a lot of fun installing all the custom components and eas able to sell all the components that came stock on bike. SQLAB makes some great handlebars. I prefer the 12 degree backsweep bar and I believe they have a bar with 16 degrees as well. Has definitely helped with hand fatigue and eliminated hot spots. Not sure of how they would help with a back injury but their website has lots of info. Going to a bigger diameter grip has helped with my aging back!

Mines a shoulder / arm injury. but the hand positioning i think is definitely going to be a fun thing to get right. I ordered the higher rise bars with my wild. hopefully that helps, but I'll keep an eye out for these bars for sure.

@Singletrackmind Nice bike! what parts do I need to swap the stem? Can’t seem to find that info anywhere. Thanks you! Just received mine yesterday and wanting to swap stem/bars - size XL

I just asked Orbea and they said we need this adaptor (Orbea). Apparently it removes the spin block function.

I have just ordered a Rise M team model 2023, with myo program, same color red wine Carbon view Matt. No possibility to have the rear suspension link in the same frame color? Just had confirmation from Orbea all carbon models in myO and 1 color are always the rear suspension link in the same color of the frame 👍 so no problem for me, the color wine red carbon view Matt.

Did you really have issues with the stock E thirteen cranks coming loose? I’ve heard about that possibly being an issue on the Rise(?)
Yep sure did. We’ll see if these are any different. I have to check them once in a while - not the end of the world. But ya, the stock cranks loved to fall off.

Just got my XL H10 and can’t wait to put some miles on it! Paint quality was good, except for a big scratch on the seatstay that the dealer is going to replace.

When I ordered it I asked for the brakes, stem, and tires to be upgraded, but Orbea shipped it completely stock and they didn’t tell me. I also ordered the smaller battery but it came with the bigger battery. My bike shop did try and help me out with the upgrades/price.

Hi guys, have just picked up a h20 and will fully upgrade it, including the brakes. However after taking out the fork I wanted to see how easy it would be to pull out the brake hose ( will be attaching it to the new hose with the special Stam double threaded thing) but I couldn’t get any movement at all. Any good tips for those that have replaced brakes on cable routing. I also started pulling out the cable housing as I will replace it with go transmission but couldn’t get it to move at all either.

Does anyone rides his Wild with a Coil and can give me some impressions? I just bought a Lyrik Ultimate 2023 and I am thinking of trying a Super Deluxe Coil. Thanks.

I have a customized Wild with and MRP HAZARD progressive coil and it shreds! Expected improved dh performance but surprised how well it performs when climbing. You can also customize the color of the coil!

Very nice. Going the coil route soon, as well. My X2 already blew up once and I’m not into 3 week turnaround repair times from Fox. Also, it costs $150 CAD to rebuild rather than wait for warranty.

I have about 150 miles on my Orbea Wild M20 so far. I took most of the stock parts off it and moved a lot over from my previous Rise. My 38 barely fit given the 10mm-longer heattube on the Wild; I put the X2 on it - we'll see how it fairs; feels great so far with some setting adjustments.

The 10 pound difference to the Wild (my Rise was 42 pounds - this is 52) is really significant. It feels so much more top-heavy.

This is the Cosmic Carbon color - I'll never get another Orbea without doing the MyO program. In person this color is just UPS brown - not my favorite but given the timing of when my local dealer was getting Wilds in, this made the most sense.

Really fun so far - feels very stiff / almost rigid but the faster you push the better it feels.

Put the XX Transmission on it, different brake set and trying 220mm rotors front and rear (not sure how long the rear 220 will last before it gets smashed by a rock...its a huge rotor for the back wheel). ENVE AM30 wheels and 'trying the eThirteen Grappler tires (really great so far - super soft compounds).

Interesting that you find it top heavy.
The frame is definitely stiff, but I don’t find it overly so. I did have to pay attention to my fork and tire air pressure. That said, I’ve found my happy place and love that frame is stiff, as it allows one to really throw it into stuff. It holds a line like no other bike I’ve ever tried.
I agree with you - the harder you ride it, the better it feels.
Had mine in Whistler bike park last weekend and it was awesome! Bike is surprisingly versatile.
Great looking bike. Enjoy!

I’m running a TTX22m.2 on my ‘23 M10. Like it but it needs a retune for my weight.

Friend tried the newest HBO Super Deluxe Coil on his M10. It broke twice. Once shearing the screws that mount the reservoir. RS warranted it and told him not to run that shock on that bike. Something did not play well.

Not on mine. Probably close to 175 miles on mine. Bike has not had a drop of water on it. Still has the dirt from the first ride. Guessing 10-15 miles in turbo by now

It also seems that Im loosing power climbing...according to Bosch thread it could be a battery issue too..
