Just returning with my own update. After my last replacement motor the dropper lever was noticeably tighter than before so i assumed they just trapped the cable again. So after removing the crank and motor side case, i tried to feed the outer back through but with no luck. After 10 minutes of...
Yep, i'd agree with Miker B on how its done Dave. Ask CMC how they did it when you pick the bike up and you can borrow my blind bearing puller and slide hammer set to give it a go yourself next time.
Mines a large frame. It's been a while but I am pretty sure there's a compatibility checker on the oneup website. 2,500 miles and over 2 years later and the post is still perfect. :)
Bugger. Every day's a school day it seems. I think its silicone based but not checked - unscientifically it's whatever Mr Besos sent me after using the crappy search bar. :) Ah well, I'm only applying outside the seals so if it gets inside then water would too and it'd be dead anyway...
Back on topic, I'm on motor 3 after 2 1/2 years. A mate riding his sworks gen 3 Levo in the same conditions has just had motor 2 fitted. All failures were preceded by stiff cranks when pedalling backwards which i am 99% sure was water ingress and a rusty sprag clutch because the stiff cranks...
Have you had a new motor by any chance? My replacement got fitted without using the guides on it at all - basically cables and wires all connected up and the motor just shoved in afterwards. Shadow loop unused in other words. Everything worked well enough and it means that my next motor will be...
Mine came with the dropper cable running directly from the sidearm to the dropper. Not via the shadow loop at all. TBH it worked just fine but I re-routed it without dropping the motor at all - I just followed the video. Not sure if that's actually helpful but hopefully reassuring that you...
Bought my Levo from Certini (Plymouth-but-really-Saltash Concept Store). Sent a video of the cranks turning the cassette backwards and a couple of weeks later they booked me in for a same day motor swap. Done and dusted in 3 hours. :)
Mine was pants from day one and yes, i know what I'm doing although the first (factory) cable routing was wrong which made it worse. Gave up and bought a 180mm one up which has been flawless with just normal maintenance.
Amygos. Chainring guard, bash guard and charge port cover all in one. Best investment I ever made for mine. The battle scars it has on it make me wince. I'm on 36t chainring btw
Try a T bar on the hex driver so you can push and pull together to get a more even power distribution onto it. Extension bar on both sides for the win. 50nm is s scary torque on a bike.
As above, the initial turn is just the self extractor hitting the stop and is normal.
Your call on the...
Just as a tip, don't use the chainwhip backwards like that guy does unless you want to knacker your cassette. The fixed chain on the tip is to grip the cassette and the loose chain wraps around to hold it.
Here's how to do it properly along with a little bit of info on the cassette tool types.
Like @StuR said - everything you need is in that link. No special tools, just a little patience. I know, I replaced mine with a one up 180 which is MUCH better than the stock one
Just replaced the bearings in my fh521. 15 minute job, half hour being leisurely. 6902 bearings but trying stainless to see if they last better. Far cheaper than a new freehub and zero play now. ? I used a bearing puller but you can drift them. Pulled the first one, removed the central...
What do you like about it?
Ability to programme power settingg
Firmware upgrade without having trek back to LBS (awesome!)
What do you not like about it?
User units are not stated (I don't just mean metric or imperial )..... m or cm or mm? Or inches? Or feet and inches? Or maybe decimal feet...
