Here on the East Coast of the Troubled States of America I stopped upgrading with Hope brakes, even thought they performed very well, because parts replacement were very difficult to get.
I loved my Hope 4 piston brakes (this was several years ago and I don't remember the model) but living in the US,
replacement parts were very hard to get.
E bikes are so popular now it will be easy to sell your Levo
Then upgrade to A rocky Mt Instinct or Altitude--better motor---ability to have 1000 watts battery reserve
It's what I just did and am very happy
IMHO flats require more skill and technique (that I sadly don't have)
However a big advantage to clips is the easy extra horsepower that you can generate from your hamstring muscles on the upstroke.
It's not bad and wider than it looks, but riding it the other way, going downhill, approaching the skinny, is much harder --usually walk
overall, it's low risk, low consequence
Point well taken. The 45 North tires are (I'm pretty sure) not tubeless compatible so I'm running the lowest pressure I dare put in the tubes--about 28psi
Today with 2" of fresh in New England fat tires might have helped me up on steep hills that I spun out on with the 45 North studded tires. But that would mean an entirely different bike. Can anyone tempt me with a great fat tire electric bike?
And we only have deep soft snow for a few days a...
This is a great stand (but not cheap).
But it's a little awkward to get a heavy E bike (not shown in photo 'cause it's in LBS) loaded--interested how others do it
And you need a hollow crank spindle
I'm in USA
I've tried Trailforks, AllTrails, and Gaia
I find that unauthorized rails (like "Gloucester spot") tend to be on Gaia but not the other two apps. But the other apps have a few trails and features that Gaia doesn't.
They all are pretty good IMHO
