One question I can't answer myself: why are we limited to a 34 tooth front chainring? I would like to run 36.
As far as I know there is generally two reasons for a limit like this: collision and influence on the suspension kinematics. I don't see any potential collision. The idler is far enough away, isn't it? And the kinematic is not influenced either, since the chain is running over the idler and that stays where it is. What am I missing?
Maybe one of the lucky ones who already have theirs can take a look if there is anything a larger chainring might hit.
