Running larger 223mm Galfer with Saint brakes?

Thanks! Need to downsize it though, riding time is too limited and torn between selling the Tues or the Switchblade. The practical part of me says to sell the Switchblade as it’s too similar of a bike to the Decoy but I’ve barely ridden it, I’ve gotten a lot of use out of the Tues and it’s more...

Running larger 223mm Galfer with Saint brakes?

I have Hope 225/203mm on my Switchblade with the new style XTR 4piston brakes. To be perfectly honest I find the 225 overkill, the 4piston Shimano brakes just don’t need the extra large rotor, even for bike park use. The Code RSC’s on my Decoy and TRP’s on my Tues, however, really do feel...

    New updated EP8 Decoy released

They dropped the ball by not offering at least a range extender that fits in the bottle mount bosses. On the bright side, other than the 8000 motor on my 2019 Pro Race being a little less refined than the new EP8 and having the older 36E fork, it’s a better spec and same frame and I paid $2000...

    2020 decoy 29 on fox 38 180mm travel

Keep in mind the Fox 38 has a longer axle to crown measurement than the 36, 7mm longer than a 2020 and older 36 which you’ve likely got. Now bump your travel up to 180mm and you’ve put a 37mm longer fork on your bike. This will slacken your head angle AND seat tube angle by approx 2 degrees, and...

Suspension Gurus - Can you help a Clyde Decoy rider?

Keep in mind that if you make multiple changes at once due to the shockwiz recommendations you will be chasing your tail. Always start a new session between changes, and recalibrare for compression ratio when you change PSI/spacers. based on what you’re saying, start with 335-350psi and no...

    Michelin E-Wild separated bead

i have the 2.4 Wild Enduro on the front too, and a set of 2.4 DH34’s on my downhill bike, they’ve all been fantastic. Michelin makes great tires, I’m hoping they just had a bad batch of the E-Wild and this won’t be an ongoing issue as I like the tire a lot, otherwise. If the Decoy didn’t have a...

How much longer can YT survive?

Same as every other manufacturer. They may have to do layoffs until production can resume back to full speed. YT might be smart to just start selling frame only kits, since component availability seems to be what’s causing the delays.

Review .. a chain guide that does not break

E13 makes some decent stuff but their quality control is complete garbage. I don’t know how they are still in business with the amount of parts they must warranty. I couldn’t keep the carbon wheels together on my Tues and had to replace them with WeAreOne’s after too many ruined bike park days...

Shimano 11 speed Di2 to 12 speed AXS?

Our XT Di2 spec Decoys have an E13 11spd cassette on a XD freehub. You can replace the cassette with a 12spd GX, X01 or XX1 no problem.

    Michelin E-Wild separated bead

I’m running 32psi in the rear, and the last two rides were on very moderate trails. Blue and easy black. No jumps, mostly just an easy dirt trail, some rocky sections, rock slabs and a high speed gravel section. The first tire failed during bike park riding.

Where are the new ebikes YT?? How about just the long promised bigger battery??

I love my Decoy, I’m not waiting on a new one. Other than a slightly steeper seat tube angle and bigger battery I don’t know how they would improve it. That being said, I bought this bike with the promise of a bigger battery that was coming soon. That was almost two years ago. I do feel a...

    Michelin E-Wild separated bead

Has anyone else had better luck with these tires? I’ve been running the 27.5x2.6 on the rear and I’ve had two of them fail after only a few rides. The first I got a warranty replacement, and the second tore today on the third ride, just like the first. I have a new 2.8 on the shelf too, and they...
